We also have a war between narco factions, and Santiago Sanín (Roberto Manrique) demands answers. If you missed it, let’s catch up with an El Final del Paraíso recap.
El Final del Paraíso spoilers: The old timers
Aurelio “El Titi” Jaramillo (Gregorio Pernía) has convinced Armando Cardona (Julián Trujillo) and Pablo Móron (Alí Humar) that they can flood the US with XY4 with the help of Pilar (Margarita Reyes). Just as they did in the old days with cocaine, they’re going to use her formula to make big buck. Titi decides to make an official declaration of war between the cartels by calling Mariana Sanín Santana (Stephania Duque). He promises her that Catalina Jaramillo Santana will be back in his custody soon. When Mariana tells him that everyone is listening in on the call, he scolds Mano Negra (Juan Pablo Gamboa) for treating him so badly. They didn’t show him the proper respect for his years in the business, to which Ramón “Moncho” Montecarlo (Mauricio Mauad) counters he tried to kill them all. Titi shrugs it off, because why not? He’s Titi. The guy is the definition of short attention span.
El Final del Paraíso spoilers: Vs. the NOW
As for Mano Nergra’s crew, he is still not very trusting of Demonia. He has a plan, whose seeds were planted during their talk with Titi. He’d claimed that Demonia was remorseful and left them. Demonia is holding back giggles through that part of the call, but she ain’t laughing anymore after the call ends. Mano Negra has made it clear she’s not trusted, and that her future in the cartel (and life) depends on getting into Titi’s organization to recover the XY4 formula.
El Final del Paraíso spoilers: End of Demonia?
Demonia gets exactly what she deserves for having her mother killed and trying to sell her sister’s virginity to Titi in a previous season. It seems Mano Negra has decided the best way to infiltrate Demonia and get Titi to trust her is by shooting her and dumping her on the side of a road. She seems pretty shocked when the gun comes out, but she should’ve seen this coming.
El Final del Paraíso spoilers: Proceeding with caution
Meanwhile, Móron is a bit nervous about this whole thing. He’s an older man now and isn’t prepared to go on the run at this stage in the game. He and Armando believe proceeding carefully is the way to go. Especially with the DEA to worry about as well. He and Cardona’s father both paid their dues in la carcel, and he doesn’t want to see the same happen to his godson. Móron later discusses Mano Negra with Titi, trying to find a weakness in the man. They know he has one, but they have yet to figure out what.
El Final del Paraíso spoilers: Losing it all
Zoraya Fuentes (Eileen Roca) has a pitiful story to tell when Santiago finds her. Apparently, Mano Negra killed the son they had together and Zoraya has been in hiding ever since. She has been lost ever since, and regrets her thirst for revenge and the fact she took advice from Mano Negra to start with.
Santiago is enraged by this and figures that whoever framed him must be the same person who killed their son. He wants justice, and demands that Zoraya tell him everything. She points out that justice won’t bring their son back, but Santiago doesn’t care. He just wants to see the person pay.
El Final del Paraíso spoilers: Sending a message
Elsewhere, Vanessa has traveled to Sombra’s hideout with Daniel Cerón Venegas (Juan Pablo Llano). Daniel assures Sombra that Vanessa has come in peace, but Sombra is still angry about Santiago and Jota’s betrayal. He’s intending to use Vanessa against Jota.
Big mistake. Vanessa uses that DEA training to disarm both her adversaries. As she holds a gun on Sombra, she warns him that he is not to touch a hair on Jota’s head. She’s not a weak woman, and will make sure he goes down if he does. Apparently, this humbles Sombra enough to agree.
Later, as Vanessa and Daniel travel back, she sympathizes with Sombra’s tale of woe. She tells him she has every intention of keeping her word to help, but she is planning to bring Cata Grande in on it when the time is right. For now, she’s focused of returning, as Cata Grande has learned something about the pill that was found in the remains of the Blue Dolphin. Apparently, the analysis revealed that it was one of the fake pills Titi left behind.
El Final del Paraíso spoilers: Return to Sombra
After getting Zoraya’s story, Santiago decides they’re going to return to Sombra’s—with Zoraya in tow. Jota is worried about this plan, as Sombra is sure to be angry with them. Santiago believes everything will be fine, as he has managed to find Zoraya and will be bringing her back. That, and his heroics in la carcel, mean that Sombra owes him.
Later on, we see that that (and Vanessa’s warning) helped. He tells the pair he should kill them for their betrayal, but he’s intrigued to see Zoraya is there now. Santiago says she is a Pandora’s Box, and has all the information he needs. She asks Sombra if he’s heard of Mano Negra.
El Final del Paraíso spoilers: Forget it
Mateo Matiz (Steven Salcedo) is intrigued about the story that Johana (Bárbara Najas) supposedly has. However, he also thinks that she needs to forget this strange vendetta she has against Doña Hilda Santana (Catherine Siachoque). She won’t hear of that. In fact, she has something planned for the dinner with some buyers interested in Doña Hilda’s line. He is expected to be there to get photos of it all.
El Final del Paraíso spoilers: Meeting of candidates
Roberto Conde (Alejandro Martínez) travels to the hospital to visit Alfonso Berrio (Leonardo Acosta). The two candidates speak privately in Berrio’s room about how they are opponents in the ballot box only while reporters watch and take photos from outside the room. As they pose for the reporters through the window separating his room from the hospital halls, Conde promises that he will not travel to Bogotá until Berrio is out and able to be on the campaign trail. It’s a sign of solidarity to Berrio’s campaign. When Berrio asks if he had any idea about his assistant, he says no and can’t believe that she would do something like that.
El Final del Paraíso spoilers: Life goes on
The funeral for Mirta Muriel (Gloria Pinilla) is happening, but life also must go one. Salvatore Miranda (Martín Karpan) feels bad mentioning it at a time like this, but there are a lot of buyers interested in her work. He doesn’t know how they’ll fill the orders if it’s only Doña Hilda and maybe Lizeth Muriel (Margarita Torres) working. He offers to get Johana to line up some help, which she accepts.
As for Lizeth, she feels there is no life left for her. At least, none that doesn’t involve hunting Demonia down for what she’s done. To accomplish this, she asks Cata Grande for entrance to the DEA. Cata Grande is willing to allow her to try, but she warns Lizeth that it’s very difficult to get in, and requires a lot of bravery as well as a commitment to justice. She’s worried that all Lizeth wants is revenge. There’s a very thin line, and she needs to stay on the proper side of it.
El Final del Paraíso spoilers: Albeiro leaves
Albeiro has apparently tired of running. He asks Patricia (Ivonne Gómez) to stop the car and let him out, along with Albeirito. She’s worried about him, but Albeiro assures her he’ll be fine and that he’ll take care of the little one well. He encourages Patricia to sell the taxi, then start over somewhere else.
After he’s left her behind, he calls someone to ask them to watch after Albeirto, then calls Cata Grande. He is worried about Doña Hilda, and warns Cata Grande to make sure she is well-protected. Cata Grande promises she is already being watched over, and wants to know where he’s been all this time. He won’t tell her much.
