El Final del Paraíso spoilers indicate that Yésica “La Diabla” Beltrán (Kimberly Reyes) has been doing a great job fooling the world into thinking she’s dedicated DEA agent Valeria Montes following a face transplant. She’s got her former bestie-turned-enemy Catalina Santana (Carmen Villalobos) snowed, as well as Paola Pizarro (Alejandra Pinzón) and Vanessa Salazar (Estefanía Gómez). Both of those woman arguably know Diabla even better, as they were working as Diabla’s prepago girls prior to Cata Grande getting involved. However, there are two people who are not completely sold. Here’s what you need to know, and why it begs a couple of interesting questions. Not just for this plot, but for the future as well.

El Final del Paraíso spoilers: Energy doesn’t lie
We were recently re-introduced to Lucrecia Olivares (Eliana Diaosa), a woman who went undercover as Diabla’s cellmate to get information out of her. From the first moment she and “Valeria” came into contact, she was on high alert. She said they knew each other. She believes that we all give off a certain energy, and that “Valeria’s” is familiar to her. They brush it off and get to work, but Lucrecia hasn’t let down her guard. In the Monday episode, she was disturbed to see Alfonso Berrio (Leonardo Acosta) sharing a kiss with the supposed DEA agent, and seemed reluctant to leave him alone with “Valeria” when he asked her and Nelly Bayana (Lina Nieto) to leave his hospital room. She’s definitely going to play a part in exposing Diabla’s con.
El Final del Paraíso spoilers: Familiar face
While this hasn’t been discussed on the show and the actress looks a bit different these days, there is someone on Cata Grande’s team that has a history with Diabla: Agent Natalia Bérmudez (Linda Balrich). She is a character that appeared in Sin Senos No Hay Paraíso that got mixed up in Diabla’s world after getting conned into being a mule. Without Natalia’s knowledge, she’d been given implants that were filled with product, then forced to undergo a second surgery to “correct” a “complication” that then exchanged the implants filled with drugs for a new drug-free set. Natalia is clearly picking up on this whole familiar energy thing that Lucrecia mentioned. Natalia’s interactions with Diabla were not as involved as the other girls, so she shouldn’t be as familiar with Diabla as them. That, however, might be her biggest advantage, as she’s not as emotionally invested as the others.
El Final del Paraíso spoilers: Open threads
Natalia has never appeared on any of the “Sí Hay” seasons, or was mentioned, so her addition to Cata Grande’s team is an interesting and random choice. This also leads viewers to wonder what other old threads might come back into play. For example, there was a character named Julieta (Sofía Lama) that was very special to José “Jota” Luis Vargas (Francisco Bolívar). She ended up leaving Colombia to go back to her native Mexico following her mother’s incarceration for her own involvement in the narco world. Jota was supposed to go with her, but there was only a brief throwaway mention of her later. Will we possibly see her return at some point as well? What about her mother, Lorena “La Demonia” Magallanes (Aylin Mujica)? The fact that she shares a name and occupation with our current Demonia, Dayana Muriel (Elianis Garrido), is an interesting coincidence. Will we possibly see this brought up again, or is it just a shout out to the original? Who knows?
There’s also the issue of the original narcos that were thrown in jail. It’d been hinted that at least one or two would be getting released soon. Will they come back to settle old scores and bring in even more 2008 season elements? It’s an interesting thought, and feels right. This franchise began a new era following the controversial season 3, so it’d make sense for them to keep going back to basics by bringing back old favorite characters and elements.
El Final del Paraiso spoilers: Also pending
There’s also the issue of the curse to deal with. We’re hoping that it’s one element that will continue to be front-and-center, but we’re guessing that won’t happen until the show really does end.
