New, released tax documents have revealed how Black Lives Matter co-founder Patrisse Cullors used the charity donation funds to pay her friends and family a large sum of cash for ‘consulting’ services as well as a private flight. The papers show that BLM pad a company nearly a million dollars to help ‘produce live events’ and provide ‘creative services’.

The co-founder’s brother, Paul Cullors, received a whopping $840,000 for providing security services. Why would Cullors hire her brother for security when she could have hired professionals for likely, less?

Of course, the leaders have attempted to justify their spending habits by saying the foundation’s protection could not be entrusted to former officers who normally run security groups because the group is known for protesting against these folks.

Cullors has since resigned from BLM last year because of the heat from the alleged spending of the charity’s money. Though, she has denied that she took money from the charity for personal matters and has stated that all the purchases and transactions, including her $6 million home in Los Angeles were legitimate.

The documents also show that Cullors reimbursed BLM $73,523 for a charter flight for a foundation-related trip, which she says she took in 2021 because of the fear of COVID-19.

While all of these purchases are sounding alarms, she did come out and admit previously that her family were employed within the organization. The revelations come courtesy of a 63-page Form 990, the annual filing required for organizations to maintain tax-exempt status as a nonprofit.

This is BLM’s FIRST public accounting of its finances since it began in 2017. In 2020, they invested $32 million into stocks from the $90 million it received as donations from the protests. That doesn’t seem like buying stocks is going to help with racial injustices but I’m no financial guru.

There’s no doubt that the organization has been spending money donated on themselves and their family, and now real questions will be asked about Cullors and just how exactly the money was used to help people.

What do you think? What should happen to the Cullors and will they see any jail time for essentially stealing this charity money? Let us know in the comments below.
