Netflix La Casa de Papel spoilers indicate we’re into season 2 now and loving the twists and turns this series is taking. In anticipation of the fourth season premiere, set for April, we thought we’d take a look at a couple moments from season 2 so far. Stay tuned for some more highlights as we await the premiere.

La Casa de Papel Spoilers: Drama all over!

One of the more gripping elements of the show is the group dynamics, and the problems they deal with. This group of thieves, led by Sergio “The Professor” Marquina (Álvaro Morte), started off having fun together while keeping their emotional distance. Well, most of them did, anyway. But we see how the bumps along their path to riches, including several losses, impacted them emotionally and as a group.

As season one came to an end, and season 2 played out, the hostages got restless. Especially Arturo Román (Enrique Arce). He led a mutiny that led to unease amongst the hostages. One, Alison Parker (María Pedraza), even got in his face and told him off. It was an awesome scene, and probably deserved. While one can understand the rising desperation, he really didn’t help their situation.

At the same time, we saw the robbers start to argue amongst themselves as well. In fact, Ágata “Nairobi” Jiménez (Alba Flores) took over for a time, as she believed Andrés “Berlin” de Fonollosa (Pedro Alonso) was not fit to lead. And she was right, to an extent. He’s definitely volatile. However, just as quickly a sudden loss brought them all together. It was interesting to see their relationship change back and forth so quickly.

La Casa de Papel Spoilers: New blood!

One of the other interesting elements of season 2 was when Mónica Gaztambide (Esther Acebo) fully integrated herself within the group, and the resistance that met. She and Ricardo “Denver” Ramos (Jaime Lorente) had a thing going, but after being told about Stockholm Syndrome, he pushed her away. However, Mónica was stubborn and refused to be denied. She’s now an official member of their posse, and she even took the name Stockholm. It shows the fun dark humor of the series.

La Casa de Papel Spoilers: The breakdown!

Finally, we have Raquel Murillo (Itziar Ituño). She’s the Inspector who was leading the heist case. In the course of his plot, The Professor got close to her. Too close. When she eventually learned the truth about who she’d been associating with, she had what looked like a mental break. You really felt the pain of the character as one small chance mistake on the Professor’s part led her to flashback on all their moments together as she pieces together who he really is. It’s an awesome moment that led her to make some mistakes of her own. For any other soap opera and entertainment news, please visit Daily Soap Dish.
