‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers suggest that Kristen DiMera (Stacey Haiduk) and Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) may fall for each other while teaming up to take down EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel).
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Kristen and Rafe Have a Common Enemy
It seems that Kristen and Rafe have a common enemy in EJ. While Kristen and EJ are family, Kristen blames EJ for Rachel Black’s (Alice Halsey) current situation and her being in Bayview.
When EJ told his sister that the bones they had discovered from the family crypt belonged to Stefano DiMera (Joe Mascolo), Kristen was visibly shaken at first, but then expressed to EJ that she now sees her father clearly.
She hates him as much as she hates EJ now. During Kristen’s stay in the hospital, she made Rafe a very tempting offer: to join forces and bring EJ down.
Rafe was certainly intrigued but didn’t give her an answer right away as he wanted to give the matter some more thought. In the January 27th episode of DOOL, it seemed he was about to accept Kristen’s proposal.
However, we likely won’t find out until later in the week what Rafe decides to do. We can also see there is some chemistry between Rafe and Kristen.
Not the obvious kind of chemistry, but they have a mutual understanding that might lead to something much deeper.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Kristen Is a Fierce Warrior Who Fights Dirty
Rafe has no idea who he’s about to align himself with. Kristen fights as dirty as she has to in order to get the job done. Possibly even dirtier than he realizes.
Kristen is a fierce warrior, and so far, it seems like Cat Greene (AnnaLynn McCord) has developed a soft spot for EJ that may prevent her from being aggressive enough to pursue EJ’s downfall. However, Rafe knows that Kristen can be ruthless.
Rafe has been looking to nail EJ DiMera to the wall for years. When Rafe was married to Sami Brady (Alison Sweeny), EJ relentlessly tormented the pair.
He hired Rafe’s imposter, Arnold Feinger (Galen Gering), to replace Rafe after Stefano helped EJ kidnap him. The goal was ultimately to break up Rafe and Sami.
EJ has also never really paid for his numerous crimes, which has always bothered Rafe to no end. In fact, last year, EJ repeated history when he kidnapped Rafe and rehired Arnold to impersonate him.
Only in Salem would that happen twice. Also, Rafe was tasked by the ISA to uncover information about EJ that would likely put him behind bars.
From Kristen’s perspective, her and EJ’s relationship is mostly characterized by manipulation. She feels that EJ’s decision to have her falsely confess to shooting him to protect Rachel led to her daughter being institutionalized.
‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Rafe and Kristen Both Want Payback
EJ was trying to protect his own son, Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman), from going to prison for the crime. Yet, Johnny was found not guilty, and it was basically pointless for Kristen to do time in Statesville.
Rachel was traumatized when her mom was locked up, and now Rachel is in a mental health facility, a choice that her father, Brady Black (Eric Martsolf), made that Kristen disagrees with vehemently.
Kristen fears that her daughter’s life is ruined. She wants revenge on EJ. We also have to wonder if EJ was the one who ordered Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (Richard Wharton) to kill her brother, Peter Blake (Dan Gauthier).
If Kristen finds out that EJ was responsible for Peter’s death, she’ll be even more livid and have a whole other reason to want payback.
We can see Kristen and Rafe falling for each other as their plans to destroy EJ come to fruition. They would definitely be a fresh and interesting couple that would add intrigue to the soap. We can already imagine the sparks flying.
