ABC ‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers for the week of June 28th reveal there’s a new war brewing in Port Charles. Unfortunately for the Corinthos organization, they’ll be wishing it was Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) still giving them trouble. Let’s take a look at what the promo reveals. And why it might be their own fault.
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: The promo
First, ‘General Hospital’ spoilers reveal the promo for this week focuses entirely on the Corinthos situation. We see Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) warning Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) about the Five Families and how they’ll possibly hurt people they love.
He also warns Carly that if they do something, there’s no going back. We assume there might be a pre-emptive strike in the cards, because Carly asks, “Are you thinking what I’m thinking?” As for Jason, he promises that he is not going to let anyone they love get hurt.
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: The idea?
It sounds to us like they might be considering taking out the Five Families before anyone can do any damage. We see some wisdom to that, but this isn’t just about Cyrus anymore.
You’re talking multiple organizations, so this is going to be a rough one for Carly and Jason to get out of. We don’t know if something of this level happened in the past, but we do know it’ll be the first time something like this might happen without Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) to lead the way.
Sure, Jason was his right hand and he trusted him, but Jason isn’t Sonny. We just don’t see this working out as well as it could if he was still in Port Charles, and there’s another reason this could be complicated.
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: The meeting
A while back, Carly had her meeting with the Five Families. ‘General Hospital’ spoilers indicate she took Jason’s place when he was unable to attend, thanks to that gunshot wound. And, you know, being a fugitive from Justice. We’re sure the families would have loved having a guy with the cops on his trail there.
We wondered if Carly’s meeting might have consequences, and it looks like that might be the case. She’s been handing over the business to Jason since his return. This isn’t what she promised these people when they all met.
She’d said she was the one calling the shots now and gave no indication that was a temporary thing until Jason returned. So, we have a feeling the organization not only looks weak right now, but the families might feel duped.
They accepted Carly as head of things, not Jason. Sure, Jason has been around a long time and was about as close to the leader as one can get. But he wasn’t at the meeting. And no meeting, as far as we know, has happened on or off screen to clear things up.
So, yeah… we’re likely looking at a lot of offended mobsters. Good work, Carly. And Jason, too. He should have anticipated this and warned her.
