El Final del Paraíso spoilers for Thursday, October 3rd reveal Catalina Santana (Carmen Villalobos) makes a potentially bad decision, while Dayana “La Demonia” Muriel (Elianis Garrido) continues to plot against Mariana Sanín Santana (Stephania Duque), and Natalia Bérmudez (Linda Baldrich) tries to turn Ivan Calvo (Carlos Benitez). Doña Hilda Santana (Catherine Siachoque) tries to help Joana (Bárbara Najas), and Yésica “La Diabla” Beltrán (Kimberly Reyes) makes another move against Alfonso Berrio (Leonardo Acosta). If you missed it, let’s catch up with an El Final del Paraíso recap.

El Final del Paraíso spoilers: Drop her

Demonia is still on her anti-Mariana thing, using her recent behavior as a reason to get rid of her. Ramón Montecarlo (Mauricio Mauad) doesn’t want her dead, and thinks her idea of sending Mariana back to Cata Grande is stupid. They’ll force her to talk somehow and put the cartel at risk.

Demonia says they need to do something to make sure Mariana is under control, because if they do nothing, she will get them all killed.

El Final del Paraíso spoilers: I never left

What they don’t know is, Mariana was listening to this exchange, instead of sleeping as they thought she was. This seems to shake her out of the psychosis she was bordering on, because she comes down to breakfast the next day looking fresh as can be. They both comment on this, as well as her new attitude. Moncho and Demonia tell her it’s good to have her back, but she says she never left. Later, Mano Negra (Juan Pablo Gamboa) sends them a video that has them toasting each other. We’ll get to that later…

El Final del Paraíso spoilers: Desperate move

As we figured, there was no mugging that caused Joana to lose Doña Hilda Santana’s designs and other info. It was all a scam. A pathetic one, at that. She actually bashed her own face in against a wall and then destroyed her phone to sell this supposed mugging story. All to get between Doña Hilda and Salavtore Miranda (Martín Karpan). This girl just went from being amusing to certifiable in one scene.

Dona Hilda falls for this and is sympathetic. She even gets Salvatore to let Joana stay with them. She thinks she has managed to get Joana to report the incident as well, but the next morning, Joana is apparently smart enough to not make a false police report. Which basically makes her one of the smarter people on this show. She begs off, claiming she is too afraid the muggers will have her killed.

El Final del Paraíso spoilers: Bad decision

Speaking of not being smart, Sebastian “Sebas” Sanin Santana (Carlos Baez) makes his return to the show with a new actor. He seems to have aged more than he should, but he seems to be pretty much the same character we saw before. Where the stupid comes in is with mama. Apparently taking Doña Hilda’s words about computer time not being enough to heart, she uses one of her chats with Sebas to say that she’s made a decision. She misses him too much and wants him to come live with her again. Sebas, obviously, objects on the grounds that his friends and school are here. Cata Grande tells him not to worry about his school, she’ll call the principal and make all the arrangements. Um, Cata Grande? That’s not exactly what he meant here. It’s more the moving to another country and leaving his life behind.

We can’t with how she’s willing to uproot him from a sane life in the States, to bring him to Colombia, where her life and the life of her friends and family is a constant war against Diabla and the other narcos. A life where several of them have been killed in the process. Can she be smacked back into some semblance of logic, please? For now, we’re putting the writers on notice to leave Sebas alone. #SinSebasNoHayParaiso

El Final del Paraiso spoilers: Free publicity

As for those cartels, Santos Castellanos (Luis Carlos Fuquen) was very successful in his mission. As he and Mano Negra observe their test subject, then have her followed with someone recording her, Mano Negra is pleased that XY5 doesn’t have the same downsides as XY4. What’s more, now that they got video of the girl, it’s all over social media, giving them tons of free publicity. That was the video Mariana and the others were watching. They’re all happy to have beaten the Old Timers to the punch.

El Final del Paraiso spoilers: Truce

In other news, Albeiro is still training like a good little lacky, something he accuses Esteban Calvo (Manuel Gómez) of being. He’s totally not any better, or any more manly. If he were a man, he’d have gotten that second opinion literally everyone who knows has told him to get. You know, instead of believing their enemies, who are powerful and can mess with little things like lab results.

Anyway, it seems that he is curious about this son Calvo admitted to having, and thinks it’s best for him right now if they have something of a truce between them. You know, seeing as they’re stuck together. Calvo thinks he’s being a hypocrite and a fake, and refuses to tell him anything.

El Final del Paraiso spoilers: Believe me

Back at the house, Albeiro is approached by “Valeria Montes” (Reyes) after seeing footage of her on TV alongside Berrio. Considering she confessed her love for him last time, he’s clearly a bit jealous (or at least upset that she lied about that). Like, seriously, Albeiro shouldn’t care. Wasn’t he going on about Cata Grande being the love of his life? So much so, he left her mother after twenty years together? This guy just can’t seem to make up his mind on anything. Valeria begs his forgiveness and asks him not to stop believing in her. She was being forced to get close to him by Diabla. Albeiro is angry about that, and curses Calvo and Diabla for doing this.

He begs her to tell Cata Grande what’s going on, but she says she can’t do that.  Their talk is interrupted by Calvo, who pretends to threaten “Valeria” with a gun. He says they’ll have a talk later as he makes her leave the room.

El Fnal del Paraiso spoilers: Reeling him in

As for her plan with Berrio, she and her target are in his hotel room when he starts getting frisky. “Valeria” is getting into it at first, but pulls away. She claims she’s a decent woman and starts getting angry with him for trying to get her into bed like this. Berrio is completely confused and tries to apologize, but “Valeria” storms out.

Later, Diabla calls Mano Negra and congratulates him on the XY5 video. She recognized his handywork right away. She tells him that she has done something that will make Berrio absolutely nuts over her, and promises he can count on Berrio taking XY5 before the debate.

As for Berrio, Zoraya Fuentes (Eileen Roca) chickens out of contacting him for a minute, but Edmundo  “Sombra” Dorantes Borrero (Mauricio Cujar) and Santiago Sanín (Roberto Manrique) convince her to woman up and do the right thing. She’ll be saving her love’s life. She calls just after his fight with Valeria and he eventually agrees to speak with her in person after the debate.

El Final del Paraiso spoilers: He’ll help

Finally, we get to Natalia’s mission to get to Diabla through Calvo. She approaches his son, Ivan, and pretends to be someone looking for coke since he’s a dealer. He pulls a gun on her in response.

What she didn’t know was, things ended badly between Ivan and his dad. He wants no part his father’s world. To that end, he just plays at being a pusher. His real objective is to scare potential users straight.

Natalia admits who she is, and begs for his help in tracking down Diabla through his father. He is resistant to the idea, and takes off, but Natalia is sure he’ll help. Helping them bust his father will mean saving Calvo’s life. In his business, it’s very easy to disappear.

She is right about Ivan. Later, she’s filling Cata Grande in on what happened the night before when they’re interrupted for a visitor. Cata’s confused, as she has no appointments right now. It turns out to be Ivan, who has thought it over and decided to help.
