El Final del Paraíso, Season 4/Episode 35: El Titi vale por dos
El Final del Paraíso spoilers reveal that Aurelio “El Titi” Jaramillo (Gregorio Pernía) farewell is at hand, Mariana Sanín Santana (Stephania Duque) is still struggling, and the DEA is hard at work. We also have a lead in the disappearances of Catalina Marín Santana (Carolina Gaitán) and Hernán “Nachi” Darío Bayona (Juan Pablo Urrego), plus a huge Yésica “La Diabla” Beltrán (Kimberly Reyes) twist. If you missed it, let’s get to your El Final del Paraíso recap.
El Final del Paraíso spoilers: Finishing touches
Pablo Móron (Alí Humar), Armando Cardona (Julián Trujillo), and Pilar (Margarita Reyes) are hard at with on the finishing touches to their plan. They want to keep Mariana believing that she killed Titi. They’ve got a funeral all set up for the following day, but you can’t have a funeral without a body. That’s why some henchmen kidnap a poor random guy off the street that matches Titi enough so Pilar can work her mask magic. It’s a perfect plan, but we all know that nothing in novela world can work out as planned.
El Final del Paraíso spoilers: Cat fight ahead
Mariana is still freaking over killing Titi, which is problematic for Dayana “La Demonia” Muriel (Elianis Garrido). She tries to give Mariana a pep talk, but it’s not working for a couple reasons. One, Mariana is beginning to doubt she’s made for the narco life. Of course, that isn’t going to make her want to run to Catalina Santana (Carmen Villalobos) and turn herself in. As they talk the pair fight over whether or not to go to Titi’s funeral. Demonia thinks it would be a stupid move, as the DEA will likely have eyes on it. Mariana is amused by Demonia’s “concern” for her. She confronts Demonia about sleeping with Titi, which leads to them holding guns on each other for a nice episode cliffhanger.
El Final del Paraíso spoilers: Working overtime
Meanwhile, it’s all business at the DEA. Cata Grande is leading a meeting of her agents that begins with them going over the NOW cartel and who is involved, who has already been killed. They also discuss whether or not Diabla is alive, the disappearance of Paola Pizarro (Alejandra Pinzón), and José Luis “Jota” Vargas’ (Francisco Bolívar) situation. Another thing on their agenda is the rumor that Titi is dead, as well as the new cartel he was a part of and the safety of Alfonso Berrio (Leonardo Acosta). Finally, the videos.
“Valeria” tries to volunteer to search for Diabla through Esteban Calvo (Manuel Gómez), but the job is given to Natalia Bérmudez (Linda Baldrich) instead. Cata Grande will deal with the video situation personal, while Vanessa Salazar (Estefanía Gómez) will look into the Paola and Jota issues. Other agents will handle the new cartel, and “Valeria” gets to look into Berrio’s safety. Natalia obviously objects, but bases her argument on the idea they’re getting close. It’s not appropriate. Cata Grande ends up overruling that argument.
A later raid on the former hideout of the Old Timers cartel fails to capture them, but it proves that Demonia was there. Natalia is not happy about how things have gone, and gets into a fight with “Valeria”. She thinks she tipped them off. Cata Grande jumps in and says that she has had enough, and they’ll be written up if this bickering keeps up.
El Final del Paraíso spoilers: Pep talk
Later, Cata Grande tends to other business. She likes to oversee the new recruits’ training, so she stops by to see how things are going. Poor Lizeth Muriel (Margarita Torres) is lagging behind, and didn’t realize just how hard it would be physically. She’s afraid that her trainer doesn’t like her and wants her gone. Cata Grande assures her that she’s being pushed hard because they believe in her.
El Final del Paraíso spoilers: The stupid is strong
Berrio leaves the hospital today with his new companion by his side. Reporters are waiting for him and they’ve got all kinds of questions, including who this new lady is by his side, and if he knows who was responsible for the attack that landed him in the hospital to start with. This is where we get a massive #fail.
For an all-power Deep State type, Mano Negra (Juan Pablo Gamboa) sure didn’t think through his idea of asking “Valeria” to be the one to get close. He does know she’s got a difference face now, after all, so putting her in a position to be photographed and in front of the media a lot is a plain stupid move. This episode proved it.
It seems that the poor lady whose face Diabla stole had family, and her mother just happens to see her on TV. She is beside herself, and wants to know what happened with her child. This leads her to decide she’s going to do what she can to get into that event Berrio is holding to see “Valeria” up close. Oops.
El Final del Paraíso spoilers: Lead
Elsewhere, Salvatore Miranda (Martín Karpan) and Doña Hilda Santana (Catherine Siachoque) are busy at work still, but the conversation revolves around Cata 2’s disappearance and Doña Hilda hating herself for sheltering Cata 2 so much. She mentions the infamous yellow line, something that confuses Salvatore. We then see the flashback that shows how, desperate to keep her third kid from making bad choices and dying young, she came up with a plan. She’d painted a yellow line outside their home, then told a toddler Cata 2 that inside that line is their love and safety, and on the other side is danger and she must never cross it without being with her parents. Yeah. It’s a screwed-up idea that Dona Hilda admits was stupid. They’re interrupted when Joaquín Urbano (Jaime Serrano) arrives. He’s been looking into the missing person’s case, and he has a lead. There’s a witness who got a car description and a partial plate. This eventually provides a list of cars that he’ll be checking into.
El Final del Paraíso spoilers: Return the lab rat
Finally, Mano Negra is discussing the new drug with Santos Castellanos (Luis Carlos Fuquen), as well as XY4. He explains the side effects that were experienced by the previous lab rats, except one—Jota. Santos is intrigued and wants to get Jota back. He thinks it will be beneficial to capture Jota and find out exactly why he survived when everyone else who got the drug died.
