El Final del Paraíso, Season 4/Episode 30: La muerte acecha (Death lurks)
El Final del Paraíso spoilers for Monday, September 23rd reveal that Dayana “La Demonia” Muriel (Elianis Garrido) is in Aurelio “El Titi” Jaramillos’ (Gregorio Pernía) hands, Zoraya Fuentes (Eileen Roca) is telling her story, and Catalina Santana’s (Carmen Villalobos) head is spinning. There also a plot to make money for XY4 production, and Albeiro Marín (Eileen Roca) is ready to fight. If you missed it, let’s get to the El Final del Paraíso recap.
El Final del Paraíso spoilers: Diabla está viva?
A phone call from Albeiro last time has Cata Grande’s head spinning, along with the results of the test of the alleged XY4. Not only is the drug not really a drug, but they have the attacks to deal with, and now Cata and Vanessa Salazar (Estefanía Gómez) must deal with the possibility their old friend/enemy Yésica “La Diabla” Beltrán (Kimberly Reyes) is alive. Cata Grande can’t believe he’d suddenly call like that and give such news after being missing, and he wouldn’t tell her how he knows. Like that’s new for him, right? Guy doesn’t know how to be straight forward at all anymore. However, Cata Grande trusts him and this is enough to get her looking for any clues that Diabla did actually survive the caravan explosion last season, as well as where she could be now. Cata Grande thinks getting their hands on Esteban Calvo (Manuel Gómez), her bodyguard, is the best bet.
El Final del Paraíso spoilers: Girl, please.
Speaking of Diabla, “Agent Valeria Montes” is brought into this little Diabla pow-wow, and it’s got to be driving her insane. Seriously. Have to give Diabla props for staying cool as people are talking about Diabla without knowing she’s right in front of them. Today, it’s talking about how she possibly survived, and how jealous Diabla was of Cata Grande. Her reaction is awesome, yet subtle enough to not raise anyone’s suspicions.
El Final del Paraíso spoilers: Finding backup
As to Albeiro, he seeks out Marcela Pinzón (Giovanna Andrade). She not only eventually offers to watch after his son, but to help once he’s gained the evidence needed to put Diabla away. She also apparently helps our resident drama llama to man up. When he shares the HIV news, she wants to know why he’s not on meds for this. It’s not a death sentence anymore. She also shares her own story of fighting a life-threatening illness, which seems to shame Albeiro into wanting to actually, you know, do something other than talk about a mystery illness and mope. About time.
As part of his new fighting spirit, he’s planning to get the information needed to put away Diabla by going back and infiltrating her organization. Hmm. Not so sure this will work out. Diabla will wonder where the kid is, and she’s not going to be very forthcoming with a guy that escaped with the help.
Before he does, though, he calls Cata Grande and says they need to meet. He has something important to tell her, as well as being ready to fight for their happiness. Ugh. The ‘ship that just won’t die.
El Final del Paraíso spoilers: Countdown to implosion
Meanwhile, Mano Negra (Juan Pablo Gamboa) may have put Demonia on a path to proving herself, but there’s still a lot of mistrust among the others. They’re worried she’ll betray them. Mano Negra, however, thinks that she won’t be that stupid.
Mano Negra is completely oblivious and should be worrying about basically everyone but Diabla. She, after all, needs him for the HIV cure. The rest, though, are a mess. Ramón “Moncho” Montecarlo (Mauricio Mauad) is still smarting over his lost eye, and doesn’t seem to like that it got skipped over in a conversation about all the things owed by certain people.
Mariana Sanín Santana (Stephania Duque) apparently doesn’t want Diabla around and has made clear to Moncho that she is part of the “old guard”. Moncho counters that this “old” one is holding up pretty well, but Mariana isn’t impressed. She does, after all, have a new face. This is news to Moncho, so Mariana shares the story of how Titi and Carmelo Villa (Juan Ángel Esparza) are responsible for an accident that destroyed her face. He doesn’t seem happy to learn that Diabla is the one who killed Villa, who Moncho looked to as a mentor. Apparently, Villa was the first one to take him seriously in the business and helped him a lot.
El Final del Paraíso spoilers: In El Titi’s hands
Demonia inspires a bit of a panic when she arrives at Armando Cardona’s (Julián Trujillo) place, and it ain’t just about her condition. As Titi checks her over and they wait for a doctor Cardona and Pablo Móron (Alí Humar) wonder how she knew to come there. They think that a trap is being set, and want everyone there on their guard. Pilar (Margarita Reyes) is inclined to agree and insists that Demonia needs to be watched closely.
To Titi’s credit, he’s going along with this despite his earlier assertion that Demonia’s no problem. He even questions her about her lack of support during the Blue Dolphin incident. She claims it was a “my life or yours” situation, and he would’ve done the same. She’s right. Diabla wasn’t kidding in a previous episode when she said this guy doesn’t know the meaning of loyalty.
Anyway, Pilar and Demonia have a bit of an estrogen attack as Demonia is trying to work her old magic on Titi, and Pilar is making sure it’s crystal clear that Titi is with her now. Titi helps out by countering Demonia’s assertion that Pilar is ugly, claiming he has never been with an ugly woman. The difference between Pilar and Demonia is, Pilar is smart as well. Ouch. There’s a little bit of a catty looks fight before Pilar and Titi leave Demonia in the room to stew. He’s reminded her that she is in his hands.
El Final del Paraíso spoilers: Fight plan
To fund their XY4 operation, Diabla and Mariana brainstorm an idea to do underground fights in which someone will get some of the current product. They’ll get people to bet for who they want and make a ton of money. Mano Negra loves the idea and is great at doing things under cover, so he’s going to be getting right on that idea.
First, he wants Diabla to seduce Alfonso Berrio (Leonardo Acosta) as part of her next mission. They’re planning to make sure he gets a dose of their drug before a debate so that he will be dead in the eyes of the public. Mano Negra thinks that’s a much worse fate.
El Final del Paraíso spoilers: Fashion crime ahead?
Finally, Doña Hilda Santana (Catherine Siachoque) is getting ready for a buyer dinner with the help of Johana. She is acting all sugar and spice in front of Salvatore Miranda (Martín Karpan), but behind the scenes, she’s ready to destroy Doña Hilda’s fashion future.
El Final del Paraíso spoilers: Tale of woe
Finally, Zoraya shares her story of getting mixed up with Mano Negra to get revenge on Santiago Sanín (Roberto Manrique). She’d been brought in by an acquaintance for her medical skills and ultimately saved Mano Negra’s life. This is why, after she fell in love with the target she was supposed to destroy, he spared her life. But he didn’t spare her son’s. His body was thrown down in front of her, then filled with bullets as she watched. He had warned her that he never wanted to see her again.
Edmundo “La Sombra” Dorantes Borrero (Mauricio Cujar) is clearly moved by her story and promises she’ll be safe with them, but he wants more information. The name Mano Negra doesn’t sound familiar, so he wants a picture. Zoraya just doesn’t want to remember the guy at all.
