TLC ’90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?’ spoilers reveal that Asuelu is missing the point of the marital counselling that he and Kalani went to. After the Jalapeno incident, Kalani decided that they needed to work on their therapy homework.
Of course Asuelu was reluctant because he was like “We’re supposed to do this at home, not at the cocktail place!” but Kalani insisted because she knew that it was imperative to do it while they didn’t have kid or other distractions around. The therapist had appaently recommended that they make a list of the household responsibilities and divvy them up, not so hard, right? Well, that’s questionable.

Asuelu’s list had him doing all his own responsibilities, but when it came to watching the kids or doing things for the household, on his list, he was saying that that was all Kalani’s responsibility. Kalani gave him a look reminiscent of a 1950’s housewife who had just had entered women’s lib territory.
This was not acceptable because she said that while he was doing all of his own responsibilities, he wasn’t helping out with the chores as a whole. He brought up the apple tree in the yard and said he would rake the apples, to which Kalani replied that apple raking does nothing for her life at all.
But she was also quick to say that if he had just helped her in the house more that the apple raking was a chore that they could do together. Clearly, it looks like the apple raking is something that Asuelu likes to do by how excited he seemed about it.
I think I about died when he called her “The Pineapple of my life”, I have never heard that particular term of endearment before. At this point, Asuelu’s ready to say anything in order to remain married to Kalani, however, is he willing to put his money where his mouth is?
The chore list gives me some doubts, but it’s not like he fought Kalani that much on it. He just seemed really taken aback that his way of doing things wasn’t the right way. Will he pull the Samoan culture card again or can Asuelu learn some new tricks. Stay tuned!!!
