‘The Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers show that Melissa Ordway (Abby Newman) has had to say goodbye to her beloved pup after 16 years. She took to Instagram to share the news along with several photos of her doggo Riley and them together.
She posted a touching tribute in the following caption,
“My heart breaks as I write this. Riley, my companion, my journal, my first child, the sweetest boy. One of a kind. I’ll never forget the first time I saw you. You stole my heart. 16 years of memories. Thank you for being an angel here on earth. Now you’re amongst all the angels in heaven. I know you’re playing with your brothers and running after a soccer ball. I love you. We all love you. We will miss you every day.“

Co-stars Melissa Claire Egan (Chelsea Lawson) and Courtney Hope (Sally Spectra) wrote, “Oh Meliss😭 I’m SO SO SORRY. They are our babies. Sending you soooo much love❤️” and “I’m so SO sorry 😞 ❤️❤️ – what a gift 🐶.. sending you love 🙏🏼🙏🏼✨✨”, respectively.
Fans also offered comforting words, “Riley knows you gave him.a wonderful life and he will see you again someday at the Rainbow Bridge. Our pets are like family I know how difficult it is to say goodbye to them. 🙏♥️🌁🌈”, “So sorry for your loss. Hold on to those special memories ❤️ Sending prayer to you & your family”, and “I’m so sorry for your tremendous loss. I know that feeling of losing your fury soulmate…. Sending so much love your way.”
