Actress Rosario Dawson and New Jersey Senator Cory Booker are splitting ways after more than two years of dating. Reports say they are still friends even though they are not together, though it looks like they didn’t get along that well after all.

A source close to the Democratic lawmaker confirmed to People Magazine that the two are no longer dating.

After meeting each other at a political fundraiser the two began their relationship in December of 2018. Dawson told TMZ back when they started dating,

“He’s a wonderful human being and it’s good to spend some time together when we can. We’re busy,” confirming that they were in fact dating.

Back in 2020, Booker had spoken out about his relationship with Dawson on ‘The Ellen Degeneres Show’ saying, “As our relationship grows, it’s difficult, but she’s just a deeply soulful person and has taught me a lot of lessons about love already.” He continued to say that being with Dawson made him a better person, “I’m very, very blessed to be with someone who makes me a better person.”

There was a moment in 2019 that Booker had even thought about proposing to the actress, but it didn’t seem to happen.

Last year, Dawson sold her multi-million dollar house on the West Coast to move to Newark after they were unable to see each other in the first few months of COVID.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like their relationship made it, though to be honest, we think Dawson can do much better anyway.
