This shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone, but it appears as though Prince Harry is once again being criticized for wanting to do royal things even though technically he’s no longer a member of the British royal family.
This time around Harry is being slammed for wanting to baptize his daughter Lilibet Diana at Windsor, even though he and Meghan Markle pulled the plug on their working relationship with the royal family back in January of 2020. Here’s what you need to know.
Prince Harry Slammed For Being A Royal Hypocrite
It was earlier reported that Harry and Meghan wanted to take a trip back to the UK with their children so that they could baptize Lilibet with Queen Elizabeth present. Royal experts of US Weekly, Molly Mulshine and Christina Garibaldi couldn’t help but point of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s criticism in this as they have claimed to wanting privacy, but are still living their lives in a very public way.
Garibaldi argued it was an odd situation for the royals to be in by saying, “Prince Harry didn’t want to be a part of the Royal Family. Now wanting a royal christening to keep a tradition, it is so hard. On one hand, Prince Harry is part of the family, you want him to have those traditions. But also, he didn’t want to have those traditions. t becomes a question of where is this balance.”
Garibaldi also wondered if Prince William might have stepped in to stop the baptism from happening all together. She said: “I also don’t know if Prince William has the authority to veto that. I feel like the Queen would have the ultimate decision, maybe Prince William gave his opinion and said I don’t think this is necessary.
Also if Prince Harry came over and did that it is what everybody would be talking about. I feel like Prince Harry and Meghan should christen the baby in California if that is what they want. Then maybe they come to the UK over the holidays this year and kind of do it that way.” So far the Sussexes have not made any comments about the matter.
