Netflix’s ‘The Irregulars’ enters 19th- century London where a group of misfits works together to solve supernatural crimes. What sets this series apart, however, is its interesting connection to the world’s greatest detective. No, not Batman. Sherlock Holmes!

The Irregulars actually solve these supernatural crimes at the behest of Dr. Watson and his partner, Sherlock! Take a look at the trailer below that was uploaded with the following description,

“Meet The Irregulars at 221B Baker Street on March 26.
Welcome to 19th-century London, where The Irregulars – a group of misfits, work to solve supernatural crimes at the behest of Dr. Watson and his elusive partner, Sherlock Holmes.”

Viewers commented on the trailer, “So, Sherlock’s neighbors get their own spin-off?”, “Sherlock doesn’t mess with that magic stuff so he got Watson to find someone else to do those mysteries. In unrelated news Benedict Cumberbatch is DR. Strange a guy who basically does magic.”, “Its combination of Fantastic beast and Sherlock Holmes both”, “I think I am the only one still waiting for Sherlock Season 5” and “Sherlock & Watson : Ed & Lorraine Warren edition”.

While the trailer doesn’t really tell us much, we know that this will take place in a magical setting and might have an appearance from Dr. Watson himself, however, some viewers aren’t sure about it. I think it looks interesting enough, but I’m not sure I’ll add it to my watchlist right away. I’ll most likely put it away for a rainy day. A Sherlock Holmes name drop doesn’t really do enough for me.

Netflix’s ‘The Irregulars’ premieres next month on March 26th.
