Since 2019, we’ve been wondering where Lori Vallow Daybell’s children, Tylee Ryan and JJ Vallow are. Last year, authorities made an unfortunate discovery in Chad Daybell’s back yard and found them. It’s been long suspected that both Chad and Lori Daybell had a hand in murdering her children, but today’s arraingment leaves no doubt.
Both Chad and Lori Daybell have been charged in the murder of little JJ Vallow and Ty Lee Ryan, as well as the murder of Chad Daybell’s late wife, Tammy Daybell. As you’ll remember Tammy Daybell died less than a month before Chad and Lori got married. It was thought to have been ‘natural causes’ even though Tammy was a pretty healthy adult at the time of her passing.
Netflix’s True Crime: Now it looks like we have evidence to the contrary.
For the daeth of Lori’s daughter, Ty Lee Ryan, they are facing conpiracy to commit first degree murder and grand theft by deception as well as first degree murder. For the death of JJ Vallow they are being charged with conspiracy to commit first degree murder and grand theft by deception as wel as first degree murder. (This indictment comes on what would have been JJ Vallow’s 9th birthday, which is kind of poetic, if you think about it.)
They are both charged with conspiracy to commit first degree murder in the death of Tammy Daybell, but only Chad is facing first degree murder charges in the death of wife Tammy Daybell. Chad Daybell is also charged with two counts of insurance fraud on a life insurance policy that he held on wife Tammy.
Lori Vallow is also facing Grand Theft related to Social Security survivor benefits for over $1,000 allocated for the care of minors. Meaning, she got money for the kids even after they had gone missing, and she collected these benefits for 4-5 months after they had gone missing.
No wonder she was tight-lipped about her kid’s whereabouts, if she had said anything, she wouldn’t have been able to collect the checks! And if you’ve been following this case, you’ll know that Lori Vallow Daybell was all about the Benjamins.
It’s a well-known fact that she liked living well and having enough money, but her suriviving son stated previously in an interview with Dateline that after she had had a hard time financially with raising him that she became a bit obsessed with it. Hence why she’s being charged with Grand Theft now.
Both Lori and Chad Daybell were part of the mormon sect, though a decidedly more doomsday branch of the sect, who believed that people could turn into zombies – not the walking dead kind, but more like demonic posession, if you will. Lori believed that her children had been taken over by zombies and the only way to release their souls would be to kill them.
This is all thanks in part to Chad Daybell’s religious doomsday novels that he wrote detailing as such. It almost sounds like a live-action roleplay gone horribly wrong, but the scary thing about this was, it was painstakingly planned out, step-by-step.
As for the death of Tammy Daybell we are now finding out that as early as July 30th 2019 there were text messages between Chad and Lori regarding death “percentages” for Tammy and JJ. There were text messages between Chad and Lori about his wife, Tammy, possibly being possessed by a spirit named “Viola” and about Tammy being in limbo.
(According to their belief a spirit could possess your body and it would look like you were still alive but your actual soul would have gone and left for another place and in order to get it out of limbo this earthly body and the spirit possessing it had to die – at least that’s the way I get it. If it makes no sense, don’t worry, it’s not supposed to. This is psychopath thinking.)
On September 8th, Chad Daybell and Tammy Daybell signed documentation increasing her life insurance policy to the max, and just ten days later Chad Daybell bought a burner phone, I’m guessing he thought if the calls and texts didn’t come from his own phone then the police couldn’t find out, he thought wrong.
If you’ll all remember on Oct. 9th 2019, Tammy had reported a man driving up with a paintball gun, that man was actually Alex Cox and it was a real gun, he was attempting to shoot her but didn’t end up following through. In the months beforehand he had been going to the gun range in order to prepare for this moment, that’s in the police case files, folks!
There will be no preliminary hearing in this case, simply because this indictment was done by a Grand Jury. This is a rare occurence in Idaho, it will go directly to trial, and maybe then we’ll actually get to see justice served. Stay tuned!!!
