It’s the kind of thing you would think would only happen in an episode of Desperate Housewives, circa 2004… only it’s 2022 and it was happening for a while. As if you didn’t think that life could get harder for Jerry Falwell Jr., who resigned from Liberty University as their president in 2020, we’re just now finding out that now, his wife Becki Falwell, has been having a years-long affair with the pool boy, Giancarlo Granda, complete with video evidence!
Say It Ain’t So!
In an interview with Vanity Fair, Becki said that she met Granda at the Fountainbleu Hotel in Miami when he was 20 and working there. She said of the tapes themselves that at the time she had a ‘big canon camera’ and Giancarlo agreed to the taping.

Jerry Falwell Jr. even says that he once walked in one of these sessions and that “it was traumatizing” and we won’t argue with that. At one point, Granda even recorded a conversation with the Falwells in which Becki said of Giancarlo, “His new thing is telling me every time he hooks up with people – like I don’t have feelings or something.” even Jerry joked, “You’re going to make her jealous, Gian.” but one has to wonder if that was before or after he walked in on them hooking up because he didn’t sound too traumatized in the conversation.
Becki goes on to say in the interview that even though the affair was over, Granda pressured her to have sex with him in her daughter’s bed (um, hello, weird much?) she said that she kept saying no, but in the end, she ended up giving in because she said she was scared of him because “he was holding everything over me” she said after they had sex she “went into the room and just cried”.
This whole thing does beg the question though, if Falwell could have that kind of conversation with another man about his wife, was walking in on them really as traumatizing as he said it was?
One has to wonder if maybe this relationship hadn’t been open for a while and no one except a select few knew about it. Ahem. Giancarlo Granda said that he is currently working on a book and a Hulu documentary about the whole entire incident… we can’t wait! Stay tuned!!!
