‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers indicate Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) may soon form an unexpected alliance to bring Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) down.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Sonny Wants To Protect Port Charles From Sidwell
We’re talking about Carly Spencer’s (Laura Wright) main squeeze, Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna). Sonny and Brennan share a common enemy in Sidwell, and as the head of the WSB, Jack may prove a valuable ally.
The mob boss is determined to protect the city of Port Charles from Sidwell. Sonny and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) must prepare for a mob war.
Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) was almost killed in an explosion at his former residence and was horrifically burned and sent to a clinic in Germany to recover. Sonny vowed to make whoever was responsible pay the price.
Then, Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) found herself in a similar situation when she was caught in Charlie’s when it was set on fire.
Sidwell recently tried to make a deal with Sonny for his piers. Sonny refused to sell his territory to Sidwell, and in response, he unleashed a firebomb in the bar, which could have seriously hurt Kristina.
Since Sidwell has been so insistent on purchasing the piers, Sonny deduced that Sidwell is the most likely suspect in these attacks.
Additionally, Sidwell is known for his affection for bombs. In the old days, Sonny and Jason would take Sidwell out themselves.
However, the district attorney, Justine Turner (Nazneen Contractor), is looking for a reason to put the kingpin behind bars.
Jack Brennan and Sonny would be a very entertaining and compelling team to bring Sidwell down. Brennan and Sonny are two formidable men with considerable power.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Brennan Will Step Up For Carly’s Sake
Jack didn’t hesitate to help Carly when Jason and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) were being held prisoner by Sidwell in Africa. Brennan orchestrated a drone strike at Sidwell’s camp to help them escape.
He also worked with Carly to plan a rescue mission when Sasha Corbin (Sofia Mattsson) was kidnapped on Sidwell’s orders.
Brennan also helped Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) to cover up her killing of Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) in self-defense.
Jack has warned Sidwell not to mess with Carly, or he’d “finish what he started in Africa.” Interestingly, Jack also told Sidwell he was on the WSB’s radar.
With Brennan, the lines of good vs. evil are sometimes blurred. However, he never says no when it comes to taking down the bad guys.
Remember, Sidwell also poses a significant threat to Carly and her children. While Sidwell didn’t intend to put Kristina in harm’s way, a mob war often leads to loved ones being sacrificed to send a message.
We can imagine Carly suggesting that Brennan assist Sonny and Jason in their pursuit of eliminating Sidwell.
While Jason doesn’t trust Jack, he does come through for Sonny and covers for Brick (Stephen A. Smith) when he kills the nurse who tried to murder Sonny after his heart procedure.
Jack could do something similar with Sonny that he did with Joss and Brick. He could cover Sonny’s tracks so the kingpin doesn’t end up in prison.
Sonny and Brennan teaming up on the same side would be a treat to watch. Plus, we know Jack will protect Carly at all costs.
