A major GH casting shocker has been reported in Soap Opera Digest: 16-year-old Kayden Brenna Tokarski is replacing Cosette Abinante as Sam McCall’s (Kelly Monaco) daughter, Scout Cain. Abinante has played Scout since 2022.

    Key Highlights

    • Scout is being aged up to her teenage years
    • Tokarski is a soap newcomer, but has some acting experience, having played a younger version of Julia Roberts in the thriller Gaslit.
    • Scout’s young life has been tragic, especially since her mom, Sam McCall, was senselessly murdered.
    • Scout is being described as having a “rebellious streak.”

Eagle-Eyed GH Fans Figured Out Tokarski Would Play a Teenage Scout Cain

GH fans can expect to see a SORASED Scout Cain on the canvas sometime in July 2026. So, it looks like Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) will have a teenager on his hands once he’s freed from locked-in syndrome.

The powers that be wanted to SORAS (Soap Opera Rapid Aging Syndrome) the character of Scout to beef up the teen scene in Port Charles.

Tokarski is a soap newcomer but has been professionally acting since she was 10 years old. She played a young version of Julia Roberts’s character, “Martha,” in the political thriller, Gaslit.

She also appeared in the Lifetime movie Killer in the Woods, a science fiction thriller, and Roswell Delirium, with Anthony Michael Hall of the iconic 80s flick The Breakfast Club.

The teenage actress recently finished Quads and the Kicker and will also appear in Curse of Vandor and its sequel, both set to be released soon.

Tokarski has also appeared in a Wendy’s TV commercial and another for Red Lobster with boy band NSYNC member Joey Fatone.

Eagle-eyed GH fans caught a quick glimpse of Tokarski during filming of the soap’s 16,000th episode, and several viewers even figured out she would be stepping into the role of a suddenly teenage Scout.

Drew May Soon Be Coming Out of His Locked-in Syndrome

Scout’s young life has been tragic so far, as she has been through so much trauma in recent years, especially after her beloved mom, Sam McCall, was senselessly murdered by the evil and ridiculously delusional Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober).

Since then, she’s been separated from her brothers, Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn) and Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr), thanks to Drew’s selfish, lackluster parenting and his use of his own daughter as an emotional bargaining chip.

Plus, Drew currently has locked-in syndrome due to Willow Cain’s (Katelyn MacMullen) injecting him with a paralytic drug to make it appear as though he had a stroke. Of course, that was after Willow shot him in the back twice.

Unless Drew has somehow been redeemed by suffering through this experience, perhaps Scout would be better off if he didn’t recover.

If the rumors are true and Drew is the same awful person he always was, it’s going to be a huge disappointment, especially for Scout. It’s really a shame Sam isn’t around anymore.

Sam and her family have a group hug 'General Hospital' Spoilers

GH spoilers predict that Scout may have a rebellious streak and could cause some major drama for Drew and the other adults, like Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) in her orbit.

One thing is for sure: with a new teenage Scout, it looks like the show is getting ready to bring Drew out of his locked-in condition.

How would our Fair Samantha handle a rebellious teenage Scout? Odds are, she’d do a much better job of parenting her than Drew would.
