‘General Hospital’ (GH) Spoilers reveal that Peter August (Wes Ramsey) is allegedly dead. We say allegedly because the freezer that held his body is now miraculously empty. We are pretty sure that there has been no divine intervention on Peter’s part, so the question is, where on earth could his body be, and what on earth happened to it? Let’s explore the possibilities.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Maxie wanted to recreate ‘Weekend at Bernie’s’
Not that Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) would have been old enough to remember this film when it came out, but she was quite possibly the only person that could tolerate him, besides Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) and that one brofriend he had, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stewart) so maybe Maxie just wanted some extra time to say goodbye and we’ll find him on her couch… just… defrosting. Like the villain that he is.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: The morgue had a mix-up
This is quite possibly the most logical and mundane explanation to what actually happened. The morgue had a mix-up and transported the wrong body to the wrong funeral home and Peter was mourned by some very confused onlookers who said that their Uncle looked so young for his age and they could hardly believe that he was actually gone, whereas this poor other guy was buried in an unmarked grave meant for Peter August. Woops.

I mean, it would certainly be an interesting twist on a soap storyline. So far no soap has done a zombie apocalypse storyline and if it can work for the movie ‘warm bodies’ then GH has a shot. Also, it’s not too far-fetched considering there was a literal GH spin-off about Vampires (Port Charles, anyone?) a decade and a half ago, so, why not have Peter come back as a Zombie?
After all, Ramsey did state that Peter wasn’t dead permanently, just off the radar at the moment – he didn’t specify in what way Peter would return, just that he would. Think about it.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Medical experimentation
Perhaps, like Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstorm) there was a mix-up, but instead of being buried in some poor old guy’s grave, Peter was simply taken to the bowels of GH in order to be experimented on like a lab rat by unsuspecting GH med students. Granted, Ryan’s circumstances were slightly different and we needed his kidney to save police commissioner Jordan Ashford (Briana Nicole Henry) and he was a really bad guy to boot, but so was Peter.
He killed Drew Cain (formerly Billy Flynn, now played by Cameron Mathison) and he left poor Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) to rot in jail for his crime. So to say that he had a few people that would like to see him… dissected… is putting it mildly, and honestly I could see Liesl putting in the order to keep Peter’s body around… just for funsies.
…Although for the next month or so I would be suspicious of any shady food trucks that suddenly showed up in the Port Charles area, now that there’s a dead body that they can’t locate… I’m just saying! Guess we’ll find out tomorrow. Stay tuned!!!
