Key Highlights

- “JaBritt” needs a chance to have a real relationship and find happiness
Jason and Britt Had a Slow-Burn Romance
In May 2021, they spent the night together for the first time while on the run from Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) and his men. Then, due to unforeseen circumstances, Jason married Carly Spencer (Laura Wright).
Britt was crushed and pulled back from him, but Carly’s husband, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), who had been presumed dead, returned to Port Charles after a long, strange trip to Nixon Falls.
Jason was presumed dead, and then later on, Britt was also presumed dead. So, obviously, that prevented them from picking up where they left off.
Jason saw Britt board a plane to Croatia and followed her, ultimately rescuing her from the Five Poppies and almost being blown to bits.
So, when they returned to Port Charles, Britt and Jason had a soapy slow-burn between them, as Britt couldn’t decide whether to let Jason in, fearing he would always put Carly or someone else first.
Sadly, by the time the two of them exchanged “I love yous,” Jason was being carted off to God knows where by the WSB after he claimed to have shot Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes).
Jason was protecting Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr) after the teenager pulled the trigger on Cullum to prevent him from killing Jason and Britt.
So now, Britt is on the run with Rocco, and since Cullum has figured out that Rocco was the one who shot him, they are both in serious danger.
Steve Burton took a hiatus from the show to spend time with his new wife and family and will be back on the air sometime in late July/early August.
“JaBritt” Has Endured Countless Setbacks and Obstacles Between Them
So, the question is, do you want to see Jason and Britt continue their love story when he returns? Fans seem to be divided over Jason and Britt’s relatioship and whether or not it should move forward.
Many viewers have been waiting for years for Jason and Britt to have a shot at a real relationship. Of course, they need to eliminate the threats that stand in their way first.
Britt also needs a copy of her Huntington’s medication so she can replicate it, which means getting Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) and Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) out of Britt’s life for good. And she needs to come home with Rocco.
However, others are not so keen on “JaBritt” as they seem to have too many setbacks and obstacles between them. Some fans aren’t so keen on Britt as a character, period.
Personally, I enjoy Jason and Britt together, and I was very moved when they finally confessed their love for each other. It was a sweet, heartfelt moment and a long time coming.
While their romance has been turbulent, they are constantly threatened by dangerous forces, yet they share a unique and appealing chemistry.
Jason seems lighter when he’s around Britt. These two characters should be allowed happiness for a change. It would be satisfying for “JaBritt” fans to see them reunite and share some brighter moments.
Jason and Britt have had countless stops and starts, but this couple deserves to be together and build something meaningful and lasting.
