‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers reveal that Scott Reeves will return to GH as Steven Webber for a brief run. He was last seen on the canvas in March 2013 as he was being hauled off to jail in Tennessee for killing a comatose prisoner so their heart could save a little girl’s life.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Steven Was Previously Arrested
Since his prison release, Steven has been living in Sedona, Arizona. After his arrest, he lost his medical license and is no longer a doctor.
Steven is Elizabeth Baldwin‘s (Rebecca Herbst) half-brother and Heather Webber‘s (Alley Mills) son. Liz recently mentioned that her brother was released from prison after the unfortunate incident.
Reeves lives in Nashville, Tennessee, with his wife, Melissa Reeves, who is making her own comeback as Jennifer Deveraux Horton on Days of Our Lives.
Melissa has played the beloved Horton heroine on and off since September 1985. Reeves shot his stint on GH while his wife was having fun in Salem, shooting Days.
The couple met on the set of Days in 1988 when Missy was an established cast member, and Scott played the short-term role of Jake Hogansen. The two hit it off and were married in 1990.
Scott said he and his on-screen sister, Rebecca Herbst, are close outside GH. He is also good friends with Steve Burton, who plays Jason Morgan on GH. The two also met on the set of Days in 1988 and hang-out together. Scott remarked that going on the GH set “felt like coming home.”
He walked into the studio and was immediately greeted by another long-time good friend, Rick Hearst, who plays the dastardly Ric Lansing. He explained that, like Burton, he and Hearst have remained close throughout the years.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Scott And Melissa Reeves Filmed Simultaneously
Scott reflected that since he last walked through those doors, so much has remained the same, yet so much has changed. Scott lost a few fellow actors he was very fond of, like Sonya Eddy, who played the wise and witty head nurse Epiphany Johnson, and Tyler Christopher, who played Cassadine, “the Dark Prince. “
“So much life has happened in 11 years for everybody, and with the passage of time, we lose people, the faces change, so that’s bittersweet,”
he said.
“It was like, oh, this is so great,”
he pointed out,
“But there was a hint of sadness and longing for the people who aren’t there anymore.”
The actor got to work with his on-screen mother, Alley Mills. When he was at GH over ten years ago, Robin Mattsson played Heather Webber, so getting to work with Mills was a real treat for him.
Both Scott and Missy recently filmed their respective soaps in Los Angeles, and Scott told Soap Opera Digest,
“It was like a time capsule, and it felt like it did before we had kids. We felt so blessed to be able to do that and experience that together again and then get to bring it home and tell the stories to our kids again.”
Look for Scott Reeves to return to Port Charles on October 24th. As for Melissa Reeves, she will be back on Days sometime in November.
