‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Could Dev be Shiloh’s son?
‘General Hospital’ (GH) Spoilers find that it seems that Shiloh Archer (Ryan McLaughlin) wants a family, specifically, he wants children. A son that could carry on… whatever he wants carried on. (Dawn of Day, perhaps? His mission in wanting a family is never quite clear.) Unfortunately, it seems that little Wiley Cooper-Jones died far too soon… but with Shiloh, the possibilities never end. Why? Because Shiloh was in the military and traveled a lot.
He was stationed mostly in Afghanistan, but Turkey is not that far in relative terms. Do you follow me? Shiloh’s son, the family he’s always wanted, could be in Port Charles right under his nose and being harbored by one of Shiloh’s greatest enemies. Shiloh’s son could very well be Dev Cerci (Ashton Arbab).

Dev is a street kid from Ankara, his Mother or any kind of family may have briefly been mentioned once, and even the ‘make believe’ Mom he is said to have ‘died in childbirth’. But notice that he has never mentioned a Father at all. Now, when you’re an orphan, that’s pretty easy to do. You can’t mention family that never actually existed to you.
But then again, has anyone ever actually asked Dev what his story – his real story, is? I know he gave Sonny a brief rundown of it and the good-hearted mob boss felt a kinship with him when he helped him find Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) in Turkey. But it wasn’t all that detailed. He himself maintained that he was an orphan.

However it’s a strange thing that in such a patriarchal society as the middle east, that a kid like Dev doesn’t at least have an idea about who his Dad is or could possibly be. Perhaps it’s because his Dad died tragically in some some violent act, or maybe just went out to get a pack of cigarettes and never came back.
Or perhaps it’s because his Dad was an American GI that was just passing through the streets of Ankara when he happened upon the woman that happened to be Dev’s Mom and hopefully romance commenced. But, then again, this is Shiloh so perhaps this is where he practiced the whole ‘stun n’ fun’ technique he’s so fond of. Did Dev’s Mom have a tattoo? Perhaps someone should ask him someday.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Jason, AKA the Port Charles Oracle, Hints At Dev’s Disturbing Truth
As we all know, Sonny Corinthos has taken a liking to Dev. But what if Sonny were to find out that Dev were Shiloh’s kid? How would that affect their relationship? As we well know, Jason Morgan recently warned against Dev, stating that he has a bad feeling for the kid. Seeing that Jason is the voice of reason on the show, it would come to reason that there must be something profoundly disturbing about the truth of Dev’s real identity. Seeing as Shiloh is Jason’s mortal enemy of the moment, it would stand the test of reason that there is a connection between Shiloh and the young kid Jason has a dislike for.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: How would this affect Dev and Sonny’s relationship going forward?
There’s always the possibility that if Sonny found that out that he’d leave Dev a smear on the street, but since he’s a Dad himself and has already proven to have a soft heart for the kid, I sincerely doubt this would happen.
Instead, he might trust Dev a lot less than he already does, and might even make him do something beyond the pale to prove himself in the future. Granted, Sonny’s go-to is almost always Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), but if say, Jason were already on a mission or couldn’t, for whatever reason fulfill his duties, then an overeager Dev might be next in line. He may not outright ask Dev to kill someone, but I could definitely see him asking Dev to put his life on the line for someone else or one of Sonny’s interests.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: What Dev’s Identity could mean for Dev and Joss?
This would be up in the air. Joss and Dev have grown closer lately. They started out contentious at first, but their sentiments have grown softer toward each other as time has gone on. But if we find out that Dev is the son of one of Sonny’s Corinthos (Maurice Benard) sworn enemies, things might go south for the two really fast. I’m not sure how much Joss would trust him after that. Also there is not only Sonny to think of, but there is also Jax.
And Jasper Jax (Ingo Rademacher) already wants to move Josslyn Jacks (Paige Olivier) out with him to get her away from Dev. If he found out that he was descended from evil incarnate Shiloh, Jax might just apply for full custody. No, Shiloh and Jax really haven’t had any interaction but that doesn’t mean that they never will. And if this happened they just might. So, is Dev really Shiloh’s son? For that, we’ll have to stay tuned!
