'General Hospital' Spoilers: End of Franco Hearing Brings Bombshells On Both Sides

‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers finds that the Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) “Frankendrew” hearing brings a couple of shocking twists from both sides, Ava Jerome (Maura West) wants her gift back from Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros), and Peter August (Wes Ramsey) is looking suspicious. There’s also tension between Laura Webber (Genie Fancis) and Valentine Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart), while Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) makes a big decision. If you missed it, let’s catch up on some ‘General Hospital’ spoilers.

    ‘General Hospital’ spoilers: Embarrassing reveal

During the hearing, Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) goes all-in. He questions Kim Nero (Tamara Braun) about the night that she attempted to rape Drew Cain (Billy Miller) and conceive against his will. This is a shocking blow to #Team Frankendrew (Roger Howarth), as Scott uses that to call Kim’s own mental fitness into question, as she’s Frankendrew’s biggest cheerleader. He also goes very aggressive in showing off an article about Franco Baldwin (Howarth) being questioned in LA over murders at the same time Frankendrew says he was on shore leave far away. He thinks this proves that Frankendrew isn’t fit.

    ‘General Hospital’ spoilers: Shocking testimony

Scott is feeling pretty confident as he brings Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) in as another witness. He thinks Kevin is going to be their closer. He was so wrong. Kevin tries to pull Scott aside prior to getting on the stand, but Scott doesn’t want to hear whatever he has to say. He just wants him on the stand. Very bad move. Scott asks him about his interview with Franco, and Kevin has to admit that, regardless of who Franco thinks he is (or isn’t), he meets the legal criteria for being able to make a choice regarding his medical care. Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) jumps at the chance to question him as well and asks if this means that Frankendrew doesn’t need Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) to act as his medical proxy. He says that’s right.

    ‘General Hospital’ spoilers: Threats

Kevin had alluded to this earlier when he told Laura that Elizabeth was going to need her at that hearing for support, no matter what Elizabeth had said about not wanting Frankendrew to feel on display. They were about to head to the hearing when they’re cornered by Valentin, who is not happy. Laura assures Kevin she’ll be fine and will catch up with him a little later.

Once alone, Valentin tells Laura that Spencer Cassadine (Nicolas Bechtel) sent Nina some expensive booze to celebrate her dumping Valentin. He doesn’t appreciate this and thinks that, as Spencer’s guardian, she needs to keep him on a short leash. Spencer is becoming more problematic as the years go by. Valentin makes it clear that he’s not threatening Spencer with harm, but he does hint at knowing things.

‘General Hospital’ spoilers: Taking it back

Earlier, Valentin had been at Ava’s gallery. He was planning to replace some of the artwork at Wyndemere and wants a portrait. Ava is amused at Valentin wanting a picture of himself, but he points out he was talking a family portrait—including Nina.

Ava doesn’t take well to this and takes off to confront Nina. Ava tells Nina she wants her booze back. She doesn’t want to Nina to keep the gift after going back to Valentin. She insists that he had to have been involved in the Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) scam.

    ‘General Hospital’ spoilers: Teachable moment

In other messed-up relationship news, Peter and Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) get into it over a condo. It seems that Peter really did try to get one, and Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) showed it to him. Something’s come up and the condo is once more available if he wants it. Maxie is dismayed when Peter turns it down.

He is a bit cagey about it, and has been checking his phone obsessively for news on the Frankendrew hearing. He starts checking again during the fight, which Maxie calls a teachable moment in what not to do. He announces that the judge is about to make a decision in the case. Adding to his problems, he’d made a comment about being afraid something would mess up their happiness. Maxie wants to know what that is. Obviously, Peter isn’t exactly volunteering this information.

    ‘General Hospital’ spoilers: Venting

Elsewhere, Lulu is venting to Dustin Phillips (Mark Lawson) about the fact that Nina and Valentin are back together. He is shocked at this, and can’t understand why. Lulu is furious that she thinks Valentin is about to get away with everything. She’s talking to him about it, because she can’t vent to Maxie. She feels Maxie is too close to all this.

In better news, they do get to spend some time having a sort-of date in his classroom. Their schedules haven’t allowed for any face time since the wedding, but Dustin offers to take her to the dance he is chaperoning. She accepts.

    ‘General Hospital’ spoilers: Sam’s choice

Finally, Sam has a big choice to make. Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and Diane Miller (Carolyn Lee Hennesy) visit her today to speak about her case. The fact Bryce Henderson (Brian Gross) is dead and can’t flip on his real boss is bad, but she doesn’t think this is a lost cause. Bryce’s original statement can’t be proven true, either.

The “witnesses” who overheard the conversation and provided the tape are questionable, and the PCPD was about to drop the charges until the Feds stepped in. This is all favorable, and she thinks that they have a good chance to get her out of there as soon as possible if they do a bench trial.

The judge scheduled to hear Sam’s case is known as being fair and reasonable, so it’s up to Sam if she wants to take her chances. Jason isn’t a fan of the idea, but Sam is impatient to get out. Plus, she worries that there may be enough out there to taint her in a jury’s eyes. When Diane returns from giving them a moment to talk it over, Sam says she wants to go with the bench trial. For any other soap opera and entertainment news, please visit Daily Soap Dish.
