‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers reveal “All My Children” vet Alexa Havins will debut as Lulu Spencer starting Monday, November 18th, which is perfect for November sweeps.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Lulu Will Wake Up To A Whole New Reality
Lulu has been in a four-year coma, and she’s waking up to a whole different reality. The man she loves, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna), had moved on with Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco), and they lived together as a blended family with Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr), Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn), and Scout Quartermaine (Cosette Abinate).
Not to mention, Dante’s lady love died, saving Lulu’s life. After months of searching and hoping for a miracle, Sam was Lulu’s liver donor. Lulu may wrestle with feelings of guilt over having been the reason why Dante lost Sam, despite wanting to get back together with him before she fell into a coma.
Lulu shared the secret with her bestie, Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms). Still, she had suffered a traumatic brain injury after the explosion at the Floating Rib due to a bomb planted by Julian Jerome (William deVry), who was following Cyrus Renault’s (Jeff Kober) orders.
Lulu lost time with her kids, Rocco and Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez). Her children have grown so much, and she hasn’t been around for years.
Her father, Luke Spencer (Tony Geary), passed away, as did her aunt, Bobbie Spencer (Jacklyn Zeman). Meanwhile, her mother, Laura Collins (Genie Francis), has never left her side. It looks like Laura’s emotional plea at Lulu’s bedside for her to open her eyes is about to pay off.
Interestingly, Lulu wakes up to find out that the man responsible for putting her in a coma is also her newfound uncle, Cyrus. She also has another uncle she doesn’t know about, Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight). A lot has changed in four years.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Havins Is Grateful For What Daytime Has Given Her
Havins is best known for her role as Babe Carey on All My Children. She started on the now-defunct soap in 2003 and met her husband on the set.
Babe was involved in several significant stories. She was married to J.R. Chandler (Jacob Young) and stirred up trouble when she kept Bianca Montgomery’s (Eden Riegel).
She married her co-star, Justin Breuning, who played Jamie Martin, in 2005. Some fans are disappointed that GH didn’t ask Emme Rylan to take back her role as Lulu.
The show clearly wanted to go in a different direction, and Alexa Havins is more than qualified to step into the iconic part. Havins has some big shoes to fill, but she’s up for the task.
“The writers have written some fun things,”
Havins teased.
“She’s waking up from a four-year coma, so we’ve got a lot of twists and turns, and we hit the ground running.”
In an interview with Soap Central in 2018, Havins spoke highly of her time on All My Children.
“I absolutely loved every minute I was on All My Children,”
She exclaimed.
“Daytime, for me, was such a beautiful gift. The people I worked with, both on camera and behind, it was absolute perfection. I met my husband there, and now we have a beautiful family because of our time on All My Children.”
