‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers reveal that in the September 2nd episode of Days, Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) finally admits to Cat Greene (AnnaLynn McCord) that he feels a romantic connection with her.
‘Days Of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Chad Is Taking A Huge Emotional Risk With Cat
Chad hasn’t taken this big of an emotional risk since Abigail Deveraux DiMera (Marci Miller) was murdered. He finally kissed Cat for real after their impromptu “fever kiss.”
Chad told Cat that after his wife was killed, he made a promise to himself that he wouldn’t become romantically involved with another woman again.
He confessed that he felt like it would be like cheating on his wife since he considered Abigail the love of his life.
Yet, he’s finding himself drawn to the woman who impersonated his dead wife. Talk about a huge moral dilemma!
It took a long time for Cat to wait for Chad to forgive her for the cruel stunt she pulled when she first arrived in Salem.
However, Chad knows that Cat felt she had no option since Clyde Weston (James Read) threatened to kill her mother, Catherina Meleounis Greene (Susan Elena Matus).
Clyde was after the DiMera fortune, and she agreed to pretend to be fake Abigail and swindle Chad out of his money as long as Clyde let her mom go.
It’s a highly complex situation for Chad as he navigates the truth about his feelings for Cat. We know that Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) and Jennifer Horton Deveraux (Melissa Reeves) will disapprove.
‘Days Of Our Lives’ Spoilers: EJ Isn’t Wealthy Enough To Purchase A Bankrupt Hospital
Julie and Jennifer tend to sit on their high horses and judge others when they themselves have made their own share of mistakes.
Yet, we don’t anticipate Julie and Jennifer’s opinions being the major dealbreaker for Chad. It’s the secret Cat’s keeping from him that she’s an ISA agent.
She’s also investigating Chad’s brother, EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel), with Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering), which may upset him. After all, Chad has trust issues after what Cat did.
After EJ emerged from his coma and became a “changed man,” he acquired the struggling University Hospital. Cat and Rafe looked into his finances, which showed that he’s not wealthy enough to purchase a bankrupt hospital.
We have been wondering if Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) may be his secret investor. She recently amassed a fortune after stealing her husband, Dimitri Von Leuachner’s (Peter Porte) inheritance. It also can’t be a coincidence that Gwen recently moved into the DiMera mansion.
Plus, she and Cat were recently seen becoming acquainted, and Gwen has claimed Cat as her new and only “friend.”
Gwen was quite impressed by Cat impersonating the late Abigail and insisted that Cat have lunch with her one day soon. It was an interesting exchange, and again, we don’t believe for a second that it’s a coincidence.
‘Days Of Our Lives Spoilers’: EJ Gave Cat A Job As His Assistant
Cat recently approached EJ about working with him, which was intriguing. EJ set her up with a job as his assistant, and Chad wasn’t too thrilled about that. Chad seems very protective of Cat and didn’t want her to get hurt by him.
However, Chad may be feeling a bit of residual jealousy about EJ bidding on Cat for a date at the hospital fundraiser. He took the date in his brother’s place, as Chad has come to truly care for Cat. In fact, he’s quite smitten with the blonde beauty.
As far as the cunning EJ DiMera is concerned, we could also see Cat’s cover being blown rather quickly. EJ’s other assistant, Rita Lesley (Maggie Carney), may warn EJ about Cat.
EJ is definitely up to no good. Days spoilers indicate that this fall, it will be revealed that EJ has been conducting odd experiments with the famous Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (William Utay).
But what is EJ working on, exactly? We wonder if it has something to do with the buzz surrounding the comeback of the late Stefano DiMera (Joe Macolo).
‘Days Of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Has Chad Forgiven Cat?
We know that Chad is trying to move forward with Cat. However, will her secret ISA assignment be a dealbreaker for him?
Chad has mentioned that he doesn’t like secrets. He’s already forgiven Cat for pretending to be his dead wife.
Would he object to Cat working an angle to find out what EJ’s true agenda is? Or would Chad support Cat’s career if she were to come clean with him?
No matter what, we appreciated the Chad and Cat scenes today. They are an adorable couple, and we really hope they end up together.
