‘Days Of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers suggest that Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) feels responsible for EJ DiMera’s (Dan Feuerriegel) shooting.
‘Days Of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Chad Found EJ After He Was Shot
Chad was the one to find EJ at the DiMera mansion lying on the floor, bleeding. He had a gunshot wound to the chest.

Chad was horrified to discover that someone tried to kill his brother. He immediately called for an ambulance and went to the hospital.
While Chad is obviously not directly responsible for EJ’s shooting, he runs the Spectator and permits Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart)) to publish his very detailed exposé chronicling EJ’s crimes.
The article Leo wrote sparked outrage. Amy Choi (Shi Ne Nielson) decided not to allow EJ’s son, Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman), and his wife, Chanel DiMera (Raven Bowens), to adopt her daughter, Sophia Choi (Rachel Boyd) and Tate Black’s (Leo Howard) baby after reading it.

To add insult to injury, Johnny recently learned the ugly truth about his conception as EJ raped his mother, Sami Brady (Alison Sweeny).
EJ’s enemies have all stopped by the mansion to lash out at him as several characters have been teased as the culprit.
In the past couple of weeks, multiple characters have had access to a gun, seemingly wanting to use it to shoot EJ.
Leo’s article may have perpetuated everyone’s frustration and fury toward EJ. The article may have prompted someone to try to take him out.
Chad is hesitant to allow the story about his brother to run in his paper. However, his priority is to make sure the truth is revealed, no matter the circumstances.
‘Days Of Our Lives’ Spoilers: As Editor Of The Spectator, Chad Values Truth And Integrity
EJ has been up to his eyeballs in crime for years. He’s guilty of a million different violations of the law.
He held Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) hostage and hired his sleazy doppelganger, Arnold Feniger (Galen Gering), to infiltrate his life.
Arnold ruined Rafe’s relationship with his fiancée, Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu), and fabricated evidence that Jada was a crooked cop.

He was culpable in Ava Vitali’s (Tamara Braun) kidnapping as Kristen DiMera’s (Stacey Haiduk) mother, Rachel Blake (Ros Gentle), was hiding her at Aremid.
EJ found Ava and was about to free her, but Kristen’s mom coerced him not to. When Rachel threatened to turn EJ in to the police after Kristen helped her secure the deal, he “disposed” of her.
While we’re unsure of exactly what he did to her, he all but implied to Kristen that he murdered her. Even EJ’s sister has reason to pull the trigger on him.
The only chunk of time EJ wasn’t involved in committing heinous crimes was when Wilhelm Rolf (Richard Wharton) helped him survive after he was “killed.”

Chad holds himself to a certain standard. He’s a professional editor and journalist who values truth and integrity and believes in complete transparency with the public.
All that said, Chad is a good person who loves his brother. Of course, he never intended for him to get shot.
While at the hospital, Chad recalled when EJ was there for him. He helped the night his beloved wife, Abigail Deveraux (Marcy Miller), was stabbed to death. Chad will no doubt feel pangs of guilt until EJ wakes up.
