‘Bold and the Beautiful’ (B&B) Spoilers is saying that news hit us this week that Patrick Mulcahey, writer of the show, will be leaving the show. He has written many scripts for the show and has won multiple Daytime Emmys for his work. He has had many accomplishments since he began on the show.
‘Bold and the Beautiful’ Spoilers: Mulcahey’s Proud Moments
Mulcahey is a graduate from Yale University and wrote man episodes of the Bold and the Beautiful, including the 5,000th episode! He wrote episodes for Guiding Light, ‘General Hospital’, Loving, and Santa Barbara. The episode that aired on October 22, 2019 was the most recent that aired and his last episode will air on December 5, 2019.
Patrick Mulcahey Leaves The Bold and the Beautiful
He began his career on the television show, Texas in 1980. This was a spin off show to Another World. He wrote a few episodes for the show, but then went onto write the pilot for the show Loving in 1983. He was not there long when he was offered the job in 1984 to work on the show Santa Barbara. He worked on that show from 1984 to 1991. He took on the position as associate head writer on Guiding Light from 1992 to 1994 and before he was hired at the ‘Bold and the Beautiful‘, he was the associate head writer at ‘General Hospital’ in 1996 to 1998. It seems that he has written on almost every soap opera in history!

He is very excited about retiring from the show because he is ready to spend some time with his friends and family. He has worked on the ‘Bold and the Beautiful’ for fifteen years and he has only wonderful things to say about the cast and crew that he has worked with. Although, he is not sure if he will get back to work after taking some time off, he has said that he hoped his next job will be just as good a fit as ‘Bold and the Beautiful’ was for him.
Although we know that ‘Bold and the Beautiful’ will miss him and so will his fans, we understand that taking a break from work is important. We wish Patrick Mulcahey all the best as he takes some time for himself and his family. We hope that wherever he lands next, he will do just as well as he did on ‘Bold and the Beautiful’. He will be missed!
