Tom has been on soap operas for decades now, so it is exciting to see her jump into a new role, especially one like this! This movie is called Animal Among Us. She plays a character named Marilyn Bishop and the movie is about a campsite where two girls were murdered. It is called Merrymaker Campgrounds and the case always said that it was an animal attack. This happened fifteen years ago and the killer was never found. The camp is no longer used, but Bishop wants to know what really happened here. Just like all the horror movies we have seen, something is still lurking in the woods nearby.

The movie also stars Laris Oleynik, Erin Daniels, Christian Oliver, and Christine Donlon. It is directed by John Woodruff. This movie is getting a lot of recognition already. It has been awarded eleven awards so far from the Creepy Tree Film Festival, Die Laughing Film Festival, and the Twin Falls Sandwiches Film Festival. It won the Exemplar Award, Best Horror Film, Best Actor/Actress Performance, Best Horror Screenplay, and Best Director/ Crew at these film festivals. It looks like Animal Among Us is going to be a hit for those who love horror! Heather Tom has won many Daytime Emmys for her work on soap operas and this was quite a new journey for her. She said that she enjoyed working on the movie because it gives her a chance to show people that she can do much more than act on a soap opera.
We can still see Heather Tom on ‘Bold and the Beautiful’ and recently her character, Katie Logan, has been fighting to stay alive because she needs a kidney. Luckily, things have started to go more positively for her and we are happy to see that! In other exciting news, Tom just celebrated her birthday on November 4th. She is also the only actress to win a Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress, Supporting Actress, and Younger Actress.
