ABC ‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers reveal Ava Jerome (Maura West) doesn’t waste time. We’ve seen her go to some interesting places since the death of Kiki Jerome (Hayley Erin), including an obsession with reading online troll comments as well as seeing the dead. Well, sort of. She did see Kiki’s ghost in a dream, but Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) was very much flesh and blood when she saw him, and when he tormented her at Shadybrook for info. Since then, she’s wanted to get back at him. So, what’s her next move? Here’s what you need to know.

The first step was to help Nikolas. By joining forces with Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) to get back at Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart), she was also serving her own desire for revenge. This almost ended in tragedy when Valentin smelled a rat and tried to kill her. Ultimately, that was the biggest mistake he could make. Between not coming clean about the Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) hoax and seeing Nikolas storm the wedding with Ava in his arms, there was no way back.
Ava and Nikolas both exposed the attempted murder and the existence of that codicil. Ava, however, is holding the document hostage in order to make Nikolas marry her and give her the postnup she wants. Now that she’s accomplished this, she’s ready to claim what she feels is owed her.

So, Valentin is in chaos. While the attempted murder charge isn’t sticking, he’s still got a couple of others pending. Not to mention a restraining order that keeps him away from the Cassadine estate. As Nikolas is currently in control, and she’s his wife, Ava made it clear in the Friday, January 31st episode that she’s making the place hers. She clearly loved rubbing that into Valentine, and it seems she’ll take things a step further. Soap Opera Digest reports Ava will hire Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) to paint her portrait—one that will replace Helena Cassadine’s (Constance Towers). According to the publication, this will be her way of claiming her place as lady of the manor. But will this work out in the end?

We already saw her soften a bit. ‘General Hospital’ spoilers reveal she seemed genuine when she comforted Nikolas over his ill-fated reunion with Spencer Cassadine (Nicolas Bechtel), and she even seemed to feel for him as the mother of a child she wronged and can’t reconcile with anymore. We don’t think she was playing when she opened up like that, so the door is open for her to dial down her revenge scheme. The other part might come from her new project.
The magazine indicates that Franco will worry about Ava and what she’s up to. We wonder if this concern will end up making her question what she’s planned. Who better to wake someone up than a friend who’s worried about them? We kind of hope so, because we think she and Nikolas could turn out to be a great pairing.
