‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers finds that star Cynthia Watros (Nina Reeves) is opening up about her return to the soap world. Earlier this year it was reported that Cynthia would be taking over from Michelle Stafford as the new Nina Reeves in Port Charles. And while it’s been quite some time since Cynthia has been in front of the cameras, she’s so far taken it all in stride. Here’s what she has to say.
“I feel like a 20-year-old back in soaps,” Cynthia told ABC Soaps in Depth in a new interview. She also recalled her time back on Guiding Light. “I remember my first days! I was with Kim Zimmer (Reva) in the rehearsal room. She’d been on the show for a long time, and I was new and I was yelling my lines. She was like, ‘Excuse me, can someone tell this actress not to act so early in the morning!’”

Cynthia also said that while she didn’t have any reservations about returning to the daytime television world, she did have to keep herself “in check” before taping her first scenes as Nina on ‘General Hospital’. As many fans already know, the world of soaps is a fast-paced one. She also admitted to fearing that she would regress back to that green, soap opera novice so to speak. “I feel like I’m going to be that again,” she chuckled at the time, “so I’ve got to tone it down!”
Luckily, Cynthia has managed to prove to everyone that she has the talent and the skills of being one of the best soap actresses out there, no matter how many times she has to dip her feet back into the pool. Now, as far as what’s in store for her character Nina Reeves, ‘General Hospital’ fans will simply have to tune in each and every day on the ABC network to find out what will happen next!
