‘General Hospital’ spoilers suggest that when the truth comes out about Willow Cain (Katelyn MacMullen) shooting Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison), it’s going to cause a shock to those close to Willow who defended her innocence.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Chase Will Question His Instincts as a Cop
Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) will likely question his instincts as a cop. He wanted to see the best in Willow, despite the mountain of evidence that she had done the deed.
Chase will owe Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) an apology after pointing the finger at him and going rogue to defend Willow.
Not only did Chase put his career on the line to help her, but he also may have put his marriage to Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) in jeopardy.
Chase couldn’t imagine that the sweet schoolteacher he had fallen in love with would actually pull the trigger. Then, there’s Willow’s enabling mother, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros).
While Nina did give Willow a fake alibi, and a very weak one at that, she’s been doing nothing but insisting that her little princess isn’t guilty of attempted murder.
However, Nina is also the type of mother who would continue to defend Willow, lie like a rug for her daughter, and would help her hide the dead body should Willow try to finish the job.
When Drew discovers that his precious Willow shot him, he may use that information as leverage and blackmail Willow into staying with him. That sounds like classic Drew.
He may be shocked at first, but it may make him want to keep Willow close even more. We can see him manipulating and controlling the situation to make Willow his prisoner.
Michael has had a feeling from the jump that Willow is guilty. At first, it had looked like maybe he knew she shot Drew and framed his ex-wife to make sure that she never saw her children again.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Willow Is More Like Nelle Than Everyone Thought
It was suspicious that Michael had a sudden change of heart and decided to allow Willow to see the kids. He went to Elizabeth Baldwin’s (Rebecca Herbst) house to tell her in person.
There were only two stipulations: she had to be under the supervision of a trained therapist, and Drew couldn’t be anywhere near the kids.
What was so weird about it was that Michael had been adamant that Willow wasn’t allowed to see Wiley Corinthos (Viron Weaver) and Amelia Corinthos (Serenity and Sequoia Mork Macko), especially due to her involvement with Drew.
Plus, right after Michael’s visit, a gun belonging to Michael’s grandfather, Edward Quartermaine (John Ingle), mysteriously showed up in the room where Willow was staying.
As it turned out, Michael was a red herring. The plot point in which Michael suddenly thought that it would be good for the kids to see Willow was meant to throw us off.
Most fans knew that Michael didn’t shoot Drew, but it was just enough of a red herring to make some viewers wonder if Michael set Willow up.
When Michael learns that Willow was the shooter, he’ll go to great lengths to make sure she’ll never see her kids again.
Chase will need to accept that maybe he doesn’t know Willow as well as he thought he did. Nina will have to contend that Willow may be more like Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier) than anyone thought.
Whatever the case, the truth always comes out on the soaps! When it does, Nina, Drew, and Chase will all owe Michael an apology and will be eating humble pie. That is, if Michael doesn’t say “I told you so” first.
