‘General Hospital’ spoilers reveal that it didn’t take long for Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) to berate Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) as the two women sniped at each other at Bobbie’s.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Britt And Carly Sniped At Each Other
Britt came downstairs wearing nothing but a towel and demanded to know why Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) hadn’t told her that his door locked automatically.
Carly was less than pleasant with Britt after Jason explained to Carly that Britt was crashing in his old room above Bobbie’s until she gets back on her feet.
Britt reminded Carly that she saved her daughter, Josslyn Jack’s (Eden McCoy) life. Carly responded by saying that she was only thankful to Britt because Carly thought she had sacrificed her life. Ouch.
The writers seem to have forgotten some key facts that went down prior to Britt’s “death.” Carly and Britt had buried the hatchet after Britt saved Jason after he was shot.
Carly had told Jason that her opinion about Britt had changed. After Jason was presumed dead, Britt even invited Carly to her epic birthday party on New Year’s Eve 2022, the night she supposedly died in her mother’s arms.
Although Carly arrived late and missed the big bash, we think it still counts. Now, we’re back to Carly being jealous of Britt because she knows how Jason feels about her. It puts Jason in an awkward position.
It causes us to wonder which woman is best for Jason. We all know that Carly and Jason were “married” after Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) was presumed dead.
The pair were protecting their family by safeguarding Sonny’s mafia business. Yet, before that, Jason enjoyed spending time with Britt.
He even consoled her when she learned that she had the marker for Huntington’s disease. The two of them had fire and chemistry.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Would Jason Really Put Britt First?
Sadly, their relationship ended when Jason had to marry Carly. Jason and Carly also have plenty of their own shippers.
Jason has a habit of always putting Carly first. The two of them share a great deal of history and a bond that can never be broken.
However, that bond can sometimes interfere with any relationships that Jason tries to have with other women. It’s been that way for decades.
Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) and Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) had to contend with Carly and Jason’s co-dependent, and highly complex relationship. Carly was always possessive of Jason, and Jason never set clear boundaries with her.
Don’t get us wrong. Carly and Jason have each other’s backs like nothing we’ve ever seen on soaps before, and it’s very touching.
Yet, Carly needs to decide whether she wants Jason for herself or to let him be happy with someone else. We understand that she’s very protective of him, and vice versa, but it shouldn’t come at the expense of Jason’s love life.
When Jason showed up at the Five Poppies resort to see Britt, they exchanged resurrection stories. Britt asked him where he was during the time he was presumed dead.
He explained that he was an informant for the FBI to protect Carly. Britt wasn’t too impressed to hear that Jason is still dropping everything for Carly, and we can’t really blame her.
Jason even let his kids believe he was dead for years to protect Carly. If Jason truly wants another shot with Britt, he needs to prove to her that he can put her first.
We have to wonder which woman he’ll lean on now that Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson) has passed. Do you think Carly is his soulmate, or is Britt the woman he should be with?
