‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers reveal that Blaze’s (aka Allison Rogers, played by Jacquline Grace Lopez) and Kristina Corinthos-Davis’s (Kate Mansi) interview with Perez Hilton took a bizarre turn. He asked Kristina about the recording of Natalia Rameriz (Eva LaRue) speaking negatively about gay people.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Natalia Cost Blaze And Kristina Their Careers
Not to mention, she had some harsh words about Blaze and Kristina’s relationship. Those words cost the two young women their careers. Blaze was dropped from her label because it looked like she was ashamed to be gay.
Kristina’s LGBTQ + Center “canceled” her because it looked like she was hiding her relationship with Alli. Fans were perplexed when Kristina said she and Blaze were not the “real victims.”
“Natalia is the real victim here, and just to be clear, I think the only person who has anything to be ashamed of is the one who made the recording in the first place,”
Kristina explained during the interview.
Kristina also said that Blaze was waiting for it to be a “palatable pill” for her mother to swallow before telling her she was gay. She noted that Natalia has always been respectful of her, which simply isn’t true.
Natalia asked Kristina to break up with Alli and made it seem like she’d be doing Blaze a favor. This was a very offensive scene, making Natalia infinitely more unlikeable, and fans remember that.
First, it didn’t make sense that Kristina told Natalia that she would make sure that Alli would “never need her again for anything,” she was suddenly so generous.
Where was the fire she had in Natalia’s room at the Metro Court when she blasted Natalia for “choosing to be a bigot?” Those were satisfying and well-written scenes.
Kate Mansi did an excellent job demonstrating her rage toward Natalia, who, at that moment, represented all the discrimination she’d ever faced as a gay individual. Prior to the interview, Kristina said that Natalia deserved whatever was coming to her.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Natalia Is The One Who Said The Words
Second, since the show is already on a roll, making Ava Jerome (Maura West) a bona fide villain. The writers probably thought that it would be a good idea to convey the misguided message. To expose the one at fault for the recording was Ava.
Natalia was the one who said the words. Nobody forced her to voice her strong opinions about gay people. If this is the show’s way of making Natalia a more likable character, it falls flat.
Kristina, who has experienced a lot of growth and development as a character since Kate Mansi took on the role, shouldn’t have been reduced to kissing Natalia’s behind.
On the General Hospital thread, a fan said,
“Natalia the VICTIM?! Oh, hell no!” Someone else exclaimed, “Kristina is defending Natalia and calling her the victim? Are you f***ing kidding me?”
Anti-gay rants aside, it was a step in the right direction when Natalia came to Kristina to grovel at her feet. Natalia should be sorry for the derogatory and hurtful words she said. Her words were not just about her daughter and Kristina but the LGTBQ + community as a whole.
