‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers recently revealed that Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) is expecting. Sarah has a couple candidates for baby daddy, but her focus is on Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan). Here’s what you need to know.
‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers: The suspects
We were inclined to rule out Eric right away. After all, her relationship with him didn’t really go that far until pretty recently. It seems the guy who was her husband until recently (Rex Brady, played by Kyle Lowder) would be the most likely choice. Of course, there’s also Xander Cook (Paul Telfer), who Sarah had a very regrettable one-night stand with after learning that Rex slept with her sister. Although, considering how time can speed up or slow to a snail’s pace on this show, who knows? All we do know is, it seems she’s very early on.

The writers are clearly going for Eric being the daddy. This is not good news for Sarah, who realizes that his heart doesn’t really belong to her now that he knows Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) is alive and well.

‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers: Justified concern
It seems these feelings are entirely reasonable, as Eric and Nicole looked very cozy upon reuniting. She has already made it clear to Kayla Brady (Mary Beth Evans) that she is not Eric’s true love. Nicole is. She accepts this and wants Eric to be happy. But when does happiness last in Salem, right?
‘Days of Our Lives’ spoilers: What’s next
We already know that Sarah is likely to not want to use her pregnancy to keep Eric. She’s got a couple of options here. One, Sarah could choose to end the pregnancy so he’ll never know and possibly feel obligated to her. You know Eric would, too, if he learned she was pregnant with his child. We don’t really see her going this route, but anything is possible in soap world.
Then there is the other option: lying about the daddy. We find this the most likely. Sarah seems to have about as much of a martyr complex as Eric. We could see her possibly claiming that Rex is the father just to eliminate the chance of Eric staying with her out of duty.
Our favorite possibility, and the one with the most drama, is pretending Xander is the daddy. He already brought up the idea of her being pregnant, so he’d be one of the few people besides Kayla that might be able to help while also keep things on the down low. The writers are clearly angling for Xander to do his best to win her over, so maybe he’ll be a sympathetic ear that will turn co-conspirator. She could claim to be with him now, which would make it more likely to be his kid (assuming her one night with him was too far back in show time). We have had a feeling for a while the writers want these two together, so this would be a good way to accomplish that.

Either way, there is no way the writers are going to get between Eric and Nicole at this point. With Rex out of the picture as well, they’re going to need to give Sarah something to do. Plotting to hide a pregnancy from the real daddy would definitely bring the drama. Especially if it leads to a romance with the trying-to-be-better bad boy.
