British Royal Family News find that it looks like she wants to retain her royal title after all. Meghan Markle is once again making headlines, but this time around it’s because she recently changed her name on her son Archie Harrison’s birth certificate.

Even though both she and her husband Prince Harry are doing everything they can to stay as far away as possible from the rest of the British royal family, it looks like they still intend to keep their royal titles. Here’s what you need to know.

British Royal Family News: Meghan Markle Updates Her Royal Status On Archie’s Birth Certificate

According to Page Six, the former Hollywood actress is raising eyebrows as she reportedly erased her first name and added royal honorifics to her son’s birth certificate. Back in 2019 when the young royal tot was born, Meghan added her real name – Rachel – to Archie’s birth certificate.

Yet, the latest copy of the document shows that she’s nixed Rachel Meghan and is now listed as “Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Sussex.” What’s more, Prince Harry also added “Prince” to the document to complete his title of “His Royal Highness Prince Henry Charles Albert David Duke of Sussex.”

Just recently, Prince Harry went on the record to blame social media and the dark web for all of the harassment that he and Meghan have received these last two years. In a Q&A with Fast Company, Harry said that “dominant online platforms have contributed to and stoked the conditions for a crisis of hate, a crisis of health and a crisis of truth.”

“We are losing loved ones to conspiracy theories,” he went on, “losing a sense of self because of the barrage of mistruths, and at the largest scale, losing our democracies.”

Harry also talked about the “well-documented online harassment’ that he and his wife Meghan experienced while they were still living in the UK. The Duke of Sussex says that all of the false reports that circulated through social media contributed to the harassment.

“I was really surprised to witness how my story had been told one way, my wife’s story had been told one way, and then our union sparked something that made the telling of that story very different,” he said.
