Anglophiles everywhere are excited about Disc0very+’s new series, 90 Day Fiancé UK. These couples are looking for love and are hoping to get their loved ones to them in the UK. This is going to take a lot of work and patience and for some, like Shaun, it seems that patience is all they have.
90 Day Fiancé UK: Shaun and Christine’s Love Story
Shaun is 41 years old and lives in a small flat in Botley, England. He is a cleaning manager in a supermarket and he talks about how he talks to his appliances when he gets home from work. He feels that he has gone crazy from the loneliness. If he gets to feeling too lonely, he will call his girlfriend, Christine.
90 Day Fiancé UK: Shaun and Christine – Hundreds of Thousands of Dollars Later and Shaun Has Yet to Meet Christine
He has known Christine for eight years and they have never met face to face! They met on social media and just started talking and they started a relationship. He thinks that she is too good-looking for him. She is quirky and silly and lives in the Philippines.
Christine is 42 years old and she lives with her parents still. They are applying for a visa so that she can live in England with him. Shaun has been sending Christine money from almost the day they met. When Christine talks about Shaun, she mentions that he sends her about 400 pounds a month. He says that he has probably sent her hundreds of thousands of dollars and he barely has money for himself after his paycheck. Christine never really touches on the topic of marriage or love when she is talking about him though. That seems very odd.
Christine tells the cameras that Shaun is sending her money to “support my needs and helps a lot to me and to my family. I feel that I have financial freedom.” Of course, she does, someone is sending her money for nothing each month! Christine has gold digger written all over her.
Shaun’s family and friends continue to tell him that sending her money is not a good idea and that they feel she is only using him for his money. He says that he is just following his heart and that this is all his choice and if people want to give him backlash, they can, but if they want to stand by him, he would love that too.
These two seem like an interesting pair and we will have to keep an eye on them on the next episode of 90 Day Fiancé UK on Discovery+.
