Shaun Weiss is back and better and will be making his return to the big screen! The ‘Mighty Ducks’ star says he’ll be in a film called “Jesus Revolution” starring Kelsey Grammer that is based on the true story of Lonnie Frisbee and the hippies he baptized in the 1970s.
Weiss says someone from Lionsgate saw his sobriety story and wanted to offer him the role. He did a read for the director on zoom and landed the gig! He will be playing a Vietnam vet who gets saved and sobers up, and apparently, he has gotten into the role asking his dentist if he could temporarily take out his implants to better look the part.

‘Mighty Ducks’ Star Shaun Weiss Back To Acting After Two Years Sober!
It looks like he is taking the role very seriously and personally, drawing upon his own experiences with addiction. He said that playing the role is almost like experiencing a relapse. Thankfully, it’s just a movie and he has not indeed relapsed!
Shaun struggled with drug addiction for many years, losing most of his teeth from the abuse. However, he’s turned his life around, gotten a brand new set of implants, and has been sober for 2 years.
A huge congratulations to Shaun Weiss and his recovery and we look forward to seeing him onscreen again! What an accomplishment.
