Mighty Ducks Star Shaun Weiss Reaches Milestone By Being Sober For Two Years
It is no secret that Shaun has struggled with addiction throughout his life. And as part of these troubles, he often found himself on the wrong side of the law.
In 2017, he was reportedly arrested for theft. But just five days after his release, it is claimed that he was arrested once again for being in possession of drugs. That naturally meant that he had to get his life back in order.
And the results have been there for all to see. In a post on Facebook, Shaun’s friend shared a side-by-side picture of Shaun. One was of him prior to getting sober, while the other one was his newfound lifestyle.
The post was captioned by the following comments: “Here’s a better comparison shot—-> What a triumph! Congrats @shaunweiss on 2 years sober!!!
“So proud of you brotha—look at you now.” Shaun has demonstrated remarkable courage in being able to bounce back from all these obstacles.
This was particularly true since the pandemic had added a further strain to his life by virtue of the fact that any form of help that he would usually be entitled to was starting to become even more limited. And yet, through it all, he managed to come out the other side.
After completing a period of rehab in the Yuba County Drug Court program, a representative for the organisation remarked: “Shaun demonstrated perseverance during his recovery complicated by the COVID-19 pandemic.
“He had to move treatment and transitional living programs on several occasions.” And it has only gotten better since.
Although it is not clear whether he will make a return to acting, or even if that is something desirable for him as of now, there is no denying that he is still as popular as ever amongst the fan base.
The representative added: “Shaun regained employment and has been traveling across the country making guest appearances and signing autographs. He received tremendous support from friends and fans.”
