Forrie J. Smith, who is best known for being on the hit TV show ‘Yellowstone’, has confirmed that he will not attend the 2022 Screen Actors Guild awards on the grounds of his opposition to vaccine mandates.

According to reports, anybody who is attending has to ensure that they are vaccinated with the latest booster shot, as well as ensuring that they have had a negative Covid test 48 hours before arriving.
Just when you thought that was stringent, any people attending will also have to wear a mask. And in order to make his position clear, Forrie let the world know exactly what he felt about it all.
In a post to his fans on social media, he said: “I mean no offense to anyone. It’s a requirement to be vaccinated. I’m not vaccinated. I will not get vaccinated.
“I haven’t been vaccinated since I was a little kid. I don’t vaccinate my dogs, I don’t vaccinate my horses. I’ve never had a flu shot. Never will. I believe they compromise your immunities.”
If these comments are taken to be true, then it is very significant for the following reasons. First of all, Forrie’s future on the show could be in doubt simply by virtue of the fact that an increasing number of movie/TV sets are making it a requirement that actors be vaccinated in order to work.
Secondly, in any event, regardless of whether you agree with what Forrie has had to say, the very fact of the matter is that his comments could be interpreted as him being anti-vaxxer in the broader sense.
And this was reflected in the comments that followed. A certain subset of people felt that Forrie was out of order over his comments and as a result should accept any consequences that could arise with his decision.
One person wrote: “I don’t take medical advice from an actor. Unvaccinated what could possibly go wrong?” It is ultimately a choice for Forrie to make, and as long as he is happy with that decision, then who are we to question otherwise.
