A video shared to twitter showed a Mohawk woman in a red jacket being trampled by a Mounted Police officer. She wasn’t the only one either, there was another person beside her curled up in the fetal position and later it was showed that she had to be helped away from the scene by another person.
It was reported that she had to go to the hospital with injuries she sustained from the incident. While it did not initially look like the mounted police officer was the one that knocked her over, prior to this the woman in question was seen on a mobility scooter so whatever did take her off the scooter was enough to injure her pretty badly.
Ottawa Police lied. This was the elderly woman trampled by the horses. pic.twitter.com/FGmPoSj9F9

Mohawk Woman allegedly trampled by mounted police in Ottawa Protests
It appeared that the mounted police officer hopped over the woman, a dangerous feat in itself and if the horse had spooked then the woman could have gotten even more injured than she already was.
This was supposed to have been a peaceful protest against the Canadian Government overstepping bounds when it came to COVID mandates which outraged a bunch of truckers and caused a lot of supply chain issues because with the truckers striking there is no one to do their jobs.
Supply chain issues not withstanding, someone should have made sure that this woman was not standing in the way of mounted police seeing as she technically is disabled and one wrong misstep and the horse could have very well killed her. Was it her choice to be there?
Yes, but someone needed to dismount and pull her out of the way of a trampling horse before she got kicked or potentially worse. That just makes the mounted police look questionable and arguably negligent, no matter what the woman’s personal beliefs on mandates were.
It seems that the protests are no longer peaceful and conditions in Ottawa have deteriorated rapidly and the remaining 47 individuals who were still protesting at the site have all been arrested. “This unlawful occupation is over.” said police Chief Steve Bell.
“We will continue with our mission until it is complete.” he said of arresting the protesters. However, Tom Marazzo said at a press conference, “We will simply regroup as a grass roots movement.” so it looks like the Ottawa Police may just have their work cut out for them. Stay tuned!!!
