This time last year, gymnast, Simone Biles was hard in training for what would turn out to be her most difficult Olympics games ever. Things are looking far rosier for the four-time Olympic gold medalist, today as she has just added one more piece of hardware to her collection.
24 year old Biles announced on social media on Tuesday that her boyfriend, Houston Texans defensive back Jonathan Owens had proposed on Valentines Day.

Now the proud wearer of a multi-carat oval diamond, Simone told ET only five years earlier that she’d never had a boyfriend as she was too wrapped up in gymnastics and training.

The young couple met via social media in early 2020 with a god old fashioned sliding into the DMs by Biles. They met up in Houston after a few weeks of chatting and the rest is history.
The comments on Biles’ post were full of joy and congratulations for the sports star who recently shed a light on mental health as she struggled at the Tokyo Olympics, withdrawing from all of the individual events except the balance beam where she took home the bronze- her seventh Olympic medal.
In August, Biles said she was uncertain about her future, including a potential bid for the 2024 Paris Games. I have a feeling her wide open schedule has jut filled up with wedding planning!
