Kelly Clarkson Ordered to Pay Estranged Husband $195,000 a Month in Support!

According to court documents, since April this year the 39 year old American Idol winner has been paying 44-year-old Blackstock $150,000 per month in spousal support. Furthermore, Clarkson has been forking over $45,601 per month to her ex in child support for their children, River, 7, and Remington, 5.

The documents also claim the host of her own talk show earns roughly $1.9 million per month! This payment to Blackstock will change once their divorce has been finalized. Currently the two are engaged in a messy divorce battle and the final settlement agreement is still being worked out.

“Irreconcilable differences” was cited as the reason for the split between the singer and the talent manager who were married for almost seven years.

To make things even messier, Clarkson is involved in a legal battle with her ex father-in-law Narvel Blackstock’s company, Starstruck Management. The company sued the Clarkson in September 2020, 3 months after the split, claiming she owed them over $1 million in unpaid commissions.

In return, Clarkson filed a petition with the California Labor Commissioner’s Office claiming Brandon (who works for Starstruck Management) and his father defrauded her of millions of dollars by charging her huge fees while she was working with their management company.

Despite this, Clarkson who has been granted primary custody of their two children,  has  been trying to keep things cordial while co-parenting with Blackstock.

The Voice judge admits, “It’s tough,” but “As long as you make sure it’s about the children and their best interests, then we’re both on board.”
