ABC ‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers indicate that she might have crossed the bridge over to CBS’ The Young and the Restless more than a year ago, but according to her former ‘General Hospital’ co-star James Patrick Stuart, Michelle Stafford’s influence is still strong in Port Charles.
In fact, the actor even says that Michelle is to blame for his character Valentin losing Nina to Jax (Ingo Rademacher) on the show. Why? Because of her sexy and sultry ways, of course! Here’s what you need to know.
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: James Patrick Stuart Says Michelle Stafford’s Influence Still Strong In Port Charles
Speaking to Soap Opera Digest in a new interview, James says he certainly has been missing his former leading lady Cynthia Watros (who now plays Nina), but actually blames the actress’ predecessor for her on-screen betrayal.
He explained to the publication, “This drama is all thanks to Michelle Stafford making those lovey-dovey eyes at Ingo Rademacher (Jax) at the Nurses Ball last year!”
Michelle left ‘General Hospital’ to take on her new role as Phyllis Summers on The Young and the Restless but apparently, she left a path of destruction on her way out. That path, of course, ended with Nina breaking Valentin’s heart by starting a new romance with handsome Aussie Jax on the show.
“It’s funny,” he added. “I look at that early episode when Nina had Indian food with Jax in the Crimson office and I can see it. I know Michelle: She knew there was money to be made in a triangle, so she worked it. Dammit, Michelle! Now, we have no choice. We’re doomed.”
Of course, anyone who knows James Patrick Stuart realizes that he is just teasing his beautiful former co-star. “She’s such a class act,” he raved. “I just love her. And I love working with Cynthia. I’m one lucky guy!”
