‘General Hospital’ (GH) Spoilers finds that Michael E. Knight is a soap opera legend and he recently spoke out about what he plans on doing in the future. Knight recently joined ‘General Hospital’ to play Martin Gray and this is actually not the first soap opera he has been on. He has had his fair share of roles in the world of daytime television.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Daytime Emmy Winner
Knight started his soap opera career at a pretty young age. Ever since then, he has been showing up on some of our favorite shows. He was awarded three Daytime Emmys for his role on All My Children. He played Tad Martin from 1982 to 2011. He moved onto play Dr. Simon Neville on ‘Young and the Restless’ in 2016 and he wanted to take it easy before getting a new role. When he was relaxing, he was making sure to spend a lot of time with his family, wife, and dog.
When Knight was in Massachusetts, he began taking part in an acting lab. He said he enjoyed it quite a bit, but knew that he should start to slow down a little more. As soon as he talked about slowing down, he got the call from ‘General Hospital’ producer, Frank Valentini. He told Knight that he really wanted him to be in Port Charles and they made it happen!
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Port Charles and Knight
Knight is incredibly happy to be back on a soap opera and he loves that he can work with his friend, Frank. He is also happy to be working back in a community that he considers one of the best. He says that the soap stars are so close and always have each other’s back. Knight is still working on settling into the show and he does say it is quite a lot of hard work.

When Knight was asked to be on the show, he said he was very nervous and it took him awhile to get back in the swing of things. He is happy to be on a show where people have a lot of talent and he gets to work with them. He has also praised the writers on the show and is often complimenting them on the great work that they do daily.
We are happy that Knight is on ‘General Hospital’ and perhaps he will be on the show for many more years to come. Stay tuned everyday to see him as Martin.
