Jeffree Star’s latest video title was kind of jarring because it literally said “Saying Goodbye…” at first I thought he was leaving youtube but then I realized that it’s Jeffree Star and he’s going to milk that cash cow until it’s no longer profitable or until he’s 6 feet under whichever comes first.
Then I thought that one of his elder dogs may have died, or he could have lost a family member (his Grandma is pushing 100!), or that maybe he had had another relationship to go south on him, but in order to announce a public breakup that makes sense one would have to have at least a kind of semi-public relationship and we haven’t really seen anybody that Jeffree’s been dating. (Even though there were rumors that he was with Kanye West for awhile… that turned out not to be true.)

Instead, Jeffree Star’s cameraman, Chris, who is from England, has decided to move on and, as Jeffree put it, “make some changes in his life”. Jeffree went on to say how Chris has been with him since 2015, since his earliest youtube videos.
Jeffree said how scared he was to start his youtube channel and how Chris was basically there with him through thick and thin and that now he’s there by himself, alone, because he “can’t let just anyone into his life”, sure, Jeffree. I mean, if I were a cameraman I’m not sure I could handle all that scandal coming at me either, but I digress.
Apparently that is not the only staff member that has “moved on” from Jeffree, apparently his personal assistant who was in the series with Shane Dawson, Maddie Lynn, has moved on as well. He said that she was a great personal assitant and he looks forward to seeing what she does next, even said that she was going to start her own company.
He says that there is no ‘trauma’ behind these people leaving him, but honestly, we’ll see. In a few months (or a few weeks, or whenever unemployment runs out) there could be some tea to be spilled as to why these two really left.
He also said that he had been spending a lot of time at his ranch in Casper, Wyoming and that a lot of his staff couldn’t actually travel with him because they have very California-based lives, which stands to reason, well, that and COVID restrictions.
Jeffree’s not in the anti-masker demographic and no one who’d be willing to film one of his videos would be willing to compromise their own or their family’s health just to spend a weekend filming photoshoots in Wyoming.
Jeffree also said that he is getting his own COVID vaccine in a few weeks and that like the rest of us, he’s ready for things to get back to normal again. We’ll see how that goes. Stay tuned!!!
