You kind of have to wonder about Shane Dawson, being cancelled more than twice within a year has to hurt. He can’t make revenue on his past videos because all of his videos were demonetized by youtube, he can’t really do much beyond post the odd picture or video on instagram anymore because if he came back to youtube right now people would come for his head.
Not that the hateful comments would stay up for longer than a few hours at a time. We all remember what happened when he appeared on Ryland’s podcast, right? All of the hateful comments got deleted within a few hours. That’s just how thinks work over there now.
Shane Dawson: Cancelled until Daddy’s money runs out
You could argue that Ryland is the breadwinner now, but.. is he? His podcast, The Sip, just started a few months ago and I don’t think it has near the number of viewers that Shane Dawson’s old pocast did, simply because Ryland has a quieter, more normal, less of a “shock jock” personality than Shane ever did.
Sure, he can be funny, I even laughed when he dressed up as Ariana Grande a couple of years ago, but he was never near the guffaw-inducing level that Shane was. Sorry Ryland, it’s okay, you’re just not that guy, and that’s fine. Maybe Ryland has gotten some epic sponsors and that’s who is paying the bills, and if he has, kudos to him.
Or maybe Shane was just phenomenally good with his money when it was rolling in. I mean, he can’t have spent all his youtube money on old toys and strange food, right? However the cost of living in California is extortionately high, and they recently moved into a much bigger house.
That has to come with a lot of bills, so unless Shane had some forethought and invested in bitcoin or was part of the GameStop thing recently (I doubt it) then chances are things are tight over there right now. But maybe someone has had pity on Shane, maybe someone who’s much more powerful and still rolling in the dough has decided to become Shane’s patron.
Who do we know on youtube that has enough money for several lifetimes and could afford to make a tax write-off the size of the Dawson-Adams household?

Now, before I go any further, every bit of this is just speculation and is simply food for thought. There’s no basis to this, it’s just simply a theory I had, so it’s probably not true.
However when one is on youtube as much as I am, one often wonders just what on earth the actual financial situations is with these youtubers, and the theory that I came up with, since Jeffree, Shane, and Ryland seem to be as thick as thieves these days (or well, maybe not since Jeffree decided to distance himself from Shane a couple of weeks ago) but previously, they were pretty cool with each other so it’s not a stretch to think that maybe, Jeffree decided to rack up some good karma and support his otherwise cancelled friend.
Or… maybe it’s more than that.
Both Shane and Ryland didn’t say a word to defend Trisha when the accusations came out that Jeffree was trashing her behind her back, and why would they if he were supporting them? But a better question is, why would he support them financially?
Aside fromt he good karma thing, you’ve heard the saying that there’s no such thing as a free lunch, right? Maybe, just maybe, and again this is just speculation, the two have invited Jeffree into the relationship as a third party. I mean, poly relationships exist, although neither Shane or Ryland ever professed to be Poly, neither has Jeffree for that matter, it just doesn’t seem to be entirely outside of the realm of possibility.
So, maybe in exchange for being their third party, Jeffree financially chips in? Again, no basis in reality, simply food for thought. But if he and Jeffree have a huge falling out and Shane suddenly has a big comeback on youtube? I won’t say I was right, I’ll just say that’ll be interesting. Stay tuned!!!
