Many people, including Kevin Costner, were surprised to learn of his impending divorce.
According to those close to him, the “Yellowstone” actor was absolutely taken aback by Christine Baumgartner’s divorce file on Monday, which was upsetting for him. Kevin’s rep’s response reflects his astonishment and disbelief…
“It is with great sadness that circumstances beyond his control have transpired which have resulted in Mr. Costner having to participate in a dissolution of marriage action.”
After 18 years of marriage, Christine filed for divorce on Monday, alleging “irreconcilable differences.” There is a prenuptial agreement, and one of the terms states that Christine must leave Kevin’s residences. They all share nothing amongst them and he has three of them.

In accordance with the prenuptial agreement’s time frame, Christine must pack up and depart all of his residences. It comes as no surprise that the prenup divides Kevin’s possessions.
His first marriage ended in a divorce that established a world record and cost him over $80 million. Although the precise reason for Christine calling off their wedding is unknown, we do know that Kevin was completely unaware of it.

It will be interesting to hear the full story and why the star felt as though he was blindsided. Was there something else going on that we don’t know about or is Christine actually hiding something herself? Right now, it’s a big mystery, but we have to suspect that there was something else going on.
We will continue to keep an eye out on the story and when we find out what happen we will let everyone know. For now, it looks like Costner is claiming he was unaware of what was going on and he won’t be returning to the next season of ‘Yellowstone’.
