Kevin Costner‘s wife is calling it quits on their marriage… she has filed for divorce. Christine Costner, the actor’s wife, filed for divorce on Monday. It’s unknown what caused the breakup. Christine referred to the standard “irreconcilable differences.”
Kevin’s rep told TMZ,
“It is with great sadness that circumstances beyond his control have transpired which have resulted in Mr. Costner having to participate in a dissolution of marriage action. We ask that his, Christine’s and their children’s privacy be respected as they navigate this difficult time.”

The “Yellowstone” actor and his ex-wife have three children, ages 12, 14, and 15. Christine has informed us that she is requesting shared custody of the children. Kevin submitted his answer on Tuesday, asking for shared custody as well. Christine is not requesting spousal support.
According to Kevin’s answer, which was submitted by disso-queen Laura Wasser, “spousal support to be payable to petitioner pursuant to the terms of the parties’ Premarital Agreement.” In other words, there is a prenuptial agreement. Kevin is married for the second time.
