‘Vanderpump Rules’ star, James Kennedy has popped the question to girlfriend of 5 years, Raquel Leviss, just like he promised boss and mother-figure, Lisa Vanderpump he would.
‘Vanderpump Rules’: Well, maybe not just like he said he would.
Kennedy revealed his intention to propose to Leviss when he appeared on E!’s ‘Overserved with Lisa Vanderpump’. Vanderpump was in strong favor of this development. However, he never revealed how or when he would propose.
The when turned out to be last Friday night and the how…well, the how was in the most James Kennedy way possible. Kennedy themed his proposal- Coachella themed, that is.
Leviss took to her Instagram to show off her diamond sparkler and explain how Kennedy popped the question at the “iconic Empire Polo Fields of ‘RACHELLA”.
The long suffering girlfriend of the embattled D.J. confirmed that she said “yes” and that “I’m over the Coachella moon.”
With balloons spelling out Rachella and an exclusive Rachella wristband, the newly betrothed couple danced in celebration in the field in front of a DJ booth at an intimate music festival for two.
Okay. So it was kind of cute, albeit so on-brand for the bougie twosome.
No word yet if Bravo’s cameras were there to capture the proposal for season 9 of Vanderpump Rules but it seems that not only would this be exactly the kind of footage the show would need, but the ‘timing’ worked out perfectly, in that filming only began a couple of weeks ago.
With Kennedy’s episode of Overserved airing prior to his proposal to Leviss, it ultimately ruined the surprise. It seems the reality star waited for the cameras to capture the proposal and likely assumed filming would have already begun before Overserved went to air.
Either way, we’re happy for the young and pretty couple. As Vanderpump warned Kennedy, “You won’t find anyone else that’s more on your side than that girl.” We also agree with the restauranteur when she told Kennedy (when he admitted he was considering proposing), “That will be the best decision you’ve ever made.”
