‘Vanderpump Rules’ fans can rejoice! The reality series will be SUR-ving up more drama in a ninth season as filming sets to begin again in May.

The future of the Bravo show was up in the air after Covid shutdowns, multiple cast firings and other big names deciding not to return. The show is going forward but will look very different the next time viewers tune in.

Fans won’t see new parents Stassi Schroeder and husband Beau Clark, or Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor. Also gone are Kristen Doute and three very replaceable newbies to season 8, Max Boyens and Brett Caprioni and Dayna Kathan.

Returning to showcase their loves and lives are married couple Katie Maloney and Tom Schwartz, might-as-well-be-married couple Arianna Madix and Tom Sandoval, controversial DJ James Kennedy and girlfriend Raquel Leviss, season eight newbie Charli Burnett and newly minted moms and mortal enemies Lala Kent and Scheana Shay.

Lala gave birth to daughter, Ocean in March while Scheana giving birth to daughter, Summer this week. However, when both were still pregnant with their daughters, the two had a falling out and are no longer speaking- exactly what shows like Vanderpump Rules loves to see!

Lala went on boss, Lisa Vanderpump’s E! series, Overserved and told an uninformed Lisa that the drama started when Scheana wasn’t invited to Lala’s gender reveal , however, Scheana told a different story saying Lala wasn’t supportive when Scheana suffered a miscarriage over the summer of 2020.

Usually the dynamics of the relationships change over the course f a season, so it will be interesting ot see if Scheana and Lala bond over their newborns.

18 months since the last time cameras rolled, Vanderpump Rules will resume production with a “comprehensive health and safety plan” that was developed by the network in accordance with CDC guidelines, all state and local orders, as well as NBCUniversal’s own safety policies.

A Bravo spokesperson assured “The health and safety of the cast and crew is the priority of Bravo for all of its shows.”

No air date has been announced yet, but watch this space as we receive updates!
